My properly grumpy cat. He hates a camera shoved in his face.

Straight from phone, adjusted flash amount in Rich Capture mode

What's the main difference from shooting in 8mp or 16mp.... Wouldn't 16mp be better?

Size, as Musicman247 points out, as well as purpose. If your photos are mainly for posting to Instagram or Facebook, 8 may be enough. They'll process faster and are smaller. 16MP JPEG is good if you want to print or reframe the photo (crop it to change the narrative elements or remove undesirable parts). Lastly, 16MP raw is if you want full control over exposure and finishing of the photo. DNG (Adobe's digital negative format) has all of the photosite information and has more latitude for color correction. It's the version you want if you're really good at retouching photos or are used to photo processors like LightRoom.

Thanks for posting the comparison photos between the two. The LG G4 was on my shopping list to replace my LG G2, Decided to come back to windows now they have the now models available :) Love the way the 950 handles the lights in the background photos are less blown out around the lights.

950 always first in your comparison? At least it looks like from processing. Less noise n LG4 photos, but i personally like 950 more sharper image and better dynamic range. Clear win for Lumia. Flash shot, not even close competition.

Hey Guys,

I am quite curious about the mic & bass recording... I was trying some recordings in my car with a moderate bass and I am not convinced yet that the previously adjustable bass filter (previous lumia models) are working fine...

Have you tried recording a concert or a party with loud bass? I am quite curious how it performs...

Why don't we have the previous setting possibilities (having 4 mics....) like in other models? and only stereo ? why? :S what is with the 5.1 and so on...

That was one of my main reason to buy this phone... the professional bass recording

I'm getting a lot of red eye with the 950XL.... I'm coming from a 1020 which I almost never used to use the Xenon flash just night mode.... Any tips?
