I got a new Apple Watch band for my ew Apple Watch!

That reminds me, I really need to get some new bands for my Pebble watches. The original leather bands for the Time Steels are really rough with the loops gone or worn to nothing. I have metal bands for them, but they're a bit uncomfortable and one likes to come open frequently when I bend my wrist.

Been wanting to order one of these for a while. Unicorn Mini M - it's a Model M without the numeric keypad (though NumLock does enable the alt function numpad like laptops usually have). Heavy like the original. A bit nostalgia-fueled, though I never had a Model M, rather a Model F on a PC XT, and I always liked the feel of it. The main reason I wanted it is the size. It fits on the keyboard tray of my desk along with the mousepad.

As I understand it, Unicomp was started by former IBM and Lexmark (who made the Model M for IBM - at least the later revisions) employees, and bought the original IP and tooling for the Model M in order to continue making them.

Like most adults with the attention span of a gnat, I looked at the pictures before reading the text. Prior to reading about former IBM employees being involved with this, my first thought was IBM Selectric!

Gonna miss my old MeTex ME-11 because it worked with DOS and Windows 3.1

I don't have a PlayStation. I'm just going to use them wired on my Xbox Series S since they support Windows Sonic. They're replacing my Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Gen 2. The Turtle Beach sound great but my pair were glitchy. The audio would just cut out for no reason. I'm going to move the TBs to my last gen Xbox just for watching movies when I don't want to wake anyone.

My Duo 1 cracked around the charge port and that was the final straw!!!



Arrived a day early. I traded my Duo 1 to Microsoft to shave off a few bucks. While D1 is indeed extremely nice, the Duo 2 feels much better in the hand and touch is much improved.

I bought this a while back, but didn't post it, as I was just trying it out initially, to see if I liked it and it met my needs. I wanted a speaker to use in the bedroom, to act as a sound bar when we watch movies in there, and also stream Bluetooth or a minidisc portable. It may be a bit bass-heavy for some, but I think it sounds great, especially considering it was only $120. It would be a bit more versatile with an optical input, but I can get a converter cheap enough if I decide to connect it directly to the TV. One of its seeming points is supposed to be the switchable phono preamp, but I can't see it being a particularly great one at the price point of the speaker.

Yeah, for me too, my mom was a big Ray Stevens fan. Dad not so much. He got a decent amount of air time on country radio stations back then too. The Mississippi Squirrel Revival was always my favorite.
