I'm replacing the black carbon-fiber skin I had on my Surface Pro 4 with a blue one to match the blue Typecover. After removing the skin, there's a ton of that tacky glue residue. I'm assuming it's important that I remove it before I put on the new skin, right? How do I do that?

some kind of organic solvent would work - such as acetone, kerosene, paraffin, etc. Try a small area first but be careful
