review
I probably don't represent the typical demographic for this site. I'm older, in my fifties, a senior executive, VP of Ops at our 2.5 billion in sales family corporation and can pretty much approve my own tech toys at whatever level I want. I travel constantly by car and air and just hated two things about my state of the art desktop replacement Dell notebook pc. It takes three minutes, yes, really, three of them, to boot up and almost two minutes and several "must click" error windows to shut down. That is useless in airports and agravating everywhere else.
When I saw the Redfly I thought, instant on and full size PDF and Office attachment viewing. So I just bought it myself, and I love it. I am on it right now at home. I'd be happy to review it and have posted a number of supporting forum posts because of three features. Outrageous battery life, instant on, and control of my enterprise applications back in the office (that never worked acceptably through VPN but work flawlessly via LogMeIn).
It isn't just easier to carry than a notebook it is also more powerful via remote control software and you don't even have to pack that obscene ginormous Dell power brick. Thanks Colllin and Celio. This is the sweetest device available right now. Oh and that is all said even though I am using a PPC 6800 slowgul mogul. As soon as you guys get the Touch Pro drivers finished I will really be able to fly with this thing by upgrading my phone. Cuz
