Shipping early?

I thiink how it has been explained in this and other threads though, you will likely not see a notification until the night before or even the same day as it is released from the local UPS, FedEx or USPS facility.

Right...hoping that is the case...was thinking they had to come from China like the original Surface...

As I've said earlier in the thread. Received shipping notification from MS early morning on the 17th, Type cover and SP3 have same tracking # with UPS so must be in the same box. Presently, the tracking site states: "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated." This means that either the UPS site is having issues or that my package is ready to be shipped but MS is waiting until the 20th. Will update yall if it changes. BTW ordered May 27 and live in Canada.

Canada is obvioulsy different as the components are most likely not being stored in country like they probably are in the USA.

However, I have not been charged for my red Type Cover (separate order), yet.

I just got charged for the red cover!! I got charged for the Surface yesterday!

I also ordered them separately, the SP3 on 5/29 and the red cover on 6/14. Here's to hoping for a Friday delivery!!!!!!!!! (although the SP3 still shows in process and the cover backordered)

I just noticed that I got charged for my SP3 which I reordered on 6/3 today. The black type cover which I ordered on 5/21 has yet to be charged. I'm really hoping for a Friday delivery....I'm starting to have dreams about it coming in the mail. So impatient I get.

Scratch that. They just billed me for my type cover a few minutes later. All is billed...all is good...now the hard part begins! Too all that are waiting as I am. Have fun with it when you get it!

All of mine has been billed, but my SP3 shows in process and the cover is still showing backordered.

Ok everyone. I am in the US and used .edu discount. I just had an email pop up in my inbox from Chase - fraud alert. I had to clear it up with Chase and then have Microsoft reauthorize the transaction. Looks like its going through now. The rep I spoke to said I will have it on the 20th.

Something also to note that she passed along to me. She said 6/16 at 5:00 PST was the cutoff date for receiving them by 6/20.

I was just billed as well... That was after updating my address because the Microsoft Rep put down the wrong billing info. I sure hope I still get it by Friday.
