Step count lag

I've noticed today that the step counter lags sometimes, one time it was counting and showing continuously each step on the display but other times the number of steps taken didn't change for quite a few minutes and eventually it added the steps taken during these minutes to the count. So my band doesn't display the steps "realtime" sometimes.. Anyone else noticed the same issue?

Yes, I noticed that when I had my band. Folks were reporting that it takes about 25 steps for the band to start counting, so if you do a short walk to the bathroom, it may never register a step, even though they're for real steps.

Both my fitbit flex and my polar loop also had the same lag so Im use to it, I just dont check my steps until I get done with my shower then all steps are accounted for.

Most fitness bands/pedometers use a proprietary algorithm to calculate steps, type of steps, and if they were steps even to begin with. So with certain devices you will see that delay. You may even see reduced steps because it decided that you were doing something else that wasn't walking, I haven't seen that with my Band but my first gen Loop used to do back-track.

I haven't noticed anything like "minutes" but I have seen a bit of a lag. I've thought it was simply analyzing the subsequent motions to decide if it was a step or something else.
