Surface 3 not booting

Hi, I have a SP3 that is stuck at the Surface logo. I can get into the BIOS using pwr+vol up. But I can't get the Boot from USB to run (pwr+vol down). I've tried the 30 sec holddowns etc listed on the MS help sites. Any ideas from the community will be gratefully attempted.
