Surface pro 4 Kickstand issue or normal

I have been noticing that while holding my sp4 in tablet mode with the kickstand closed I can feel it shifting left and right. It is very slight, but it is not something I experienced on any of my old surface tablets, RT, S2 and SP1.

Has anyone else had this issue? Just wanted to know if I should be concerned that it may break or something.

I feel this on mine as well. It's VERRRRYYY slight. But I noticed it.

This is my first surface device. I assumed it's normal. I don't take it on anymore.

My i5 kickstand is super solid... no flex at all.

I think I got very lucky though, I've had very few of the problems I've seen posted about here, and none of the ones I did have were serious... or unfixable.

Same here - a little bit of flex at both positions.

i5 8GB model, the kick stand is rock solid when closed.

My SP4 is still new, so it's fairly solid. But so was my SP3 at first. It'll loosen up just a bit over time. But minor and nowhere near enough to impact usage.

No wiggle when closed for me, but definitely when open. The play in the hinge is greater the closer to the most open or most closed that you get. Also hear a crackle when opening the hinge sometimes. I think its from the two connecting tabs in the center, not from the hinges. Anyone else hearing this?

Same here: solid when closed, but it goes a little back and forth when opened. At first it was just ay one position when barely open, now it wobbles at all angles. Its very small now, just hope it doesnt grow bigger over time hate to have to replace the whole unit, has very little other issues

My kickstand shifts a little when its closed. Only noticeable when you pick it up to use in tablet mode. I swapped it for a new one and ending up having a high pitched noise in the fan so I went back to the store and got my old one Anyone else experience this?
