Titan vs Focus S, touch response

I have a Titan and my wife a Focus S. We both love our phones but the more I use hers the more I'm starting to not like my Titan. My main beef is the response of the touch screen. On my wife's focus I can scroll the pages/screens lighting fast. If I move my finger up and down fast as I can, the UI keeps up perfectly. On my Titan it's polar opposite. No matter how fast I swype, it seems like there's a speed limit with the Titan. Fast back and forth swypes have the screen struggling to keep up with my finger. It's very noticable when scrolling the app screen but is just as prevalent anywhere that requires scrolling.

Another small thing I've noticed and this may or may not apply to the Focus S. By having work email on my phone through outlook, my phone has to have a lock screen. Everytime I press the first key to unlock it theres a noticable delay before it registers. The other 3 key presses are instant but every time I press the first one, it hangs up for a half second.

Anyone else noticed this or do I have a defect?

I know these are tiny things. I absolutely love the phone and the lock screen thing is minor but now that I've seen the phone side by side, I can't unsee how much better her touch screen response is compared to mine.

Did you disable the video enhancing? My titan's touch response is superb.

Sent from my PI39100 using Board Express

From Settings > Sound Enhancer "Video", I have it set to "No effects"

Is that what you're talking about? I was set to be enhanced before but I don't notice any change with it set to No effects.

I've noticed a delayed reaction with my penny Titan. I can move my finger up or down about a quarter of an inch until the phone starts to scroll. I'm not sure if there's a setting I can change or can fixed through a firmware/software update.

I have owned both devices I sold my Focus S for this reason only my experience was exactly opposite of yours my Focus S seamed throttled when scrolling.

coming from the focus s, yes the titan's screen feels almost "muddy" by comparison. It's very slight, and certainly not a deal breaker for me, but it is noticeable. I also have the sound and video enhancing off.
I love phones that have features that must be disabled for them to work correctly. I remember my captivate's battery life was awful, and I was told to "turn off all the stuff" and "turn the brightness of the screen all the way down" and it would be fine. Really?

Did anyone find a fix for this or contact HTC and hear what they had to say? My Titan is the same and coming from and iPhone 4 which has superb tracking, I find this issue very annoying.
