I noticed the update for Candy Crush last night and that the version number is the same. I also notice that there is a slight difference in syncing position in that I can play one game on one device, lose all lives, then carry on on another. Is that normal?

There is an increasing number of Canon DSLR owners who are also Windows Phone users, among which many photography enthusiasts who where drawn to it by products such as the Lumia 1020 and its 40 MPixel camera. As good as phone cameras are getting though, we know that DSLRs remain on a class above, and yet we keep using them less and less because of their lack of connectivity.
That is why we need either a Canon App. for Windows Phone, or for Canon to open some of their APIs in order for third party developpers to build apps that are able to connect with Canon DSLR such as the 6D or the 7D Mark2.
