Use existing Type Cover with Surface 2?

Does anyone know if you can use the existing keyboards (Touch and Type Cover) with the new Surface 2? I am thinking of trading my Surface RT in at BestBuy and upgrading to the new Surface2. If I do not have to buy a new keyboard, that'll save me quite a bit of money, I don't care much for a keyboard that lights up anyway.

This fact may have just convinced me to trade in and get a Surface 2. If I could get the student discount also it would be done deal.
