Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I'm not too keen on the multi-camera setup of the 9, it looks fussy and a bit of a over kill... I put off buying an android for ages. Had my eye on the 7plus. Six months is an eternity in mobile, my eyes has wandered towards the 8.1plus... I'm all for avoiding flagships, and staying within my budget.. I guess my priorities has changed. Haha
The 9 feels like the 8 Sirocco: something very niche. I don't expect a ton of sales.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I couldn't find the article I read about it so I could be wrong.

Tech radar has leaks of a compact version which they dubbed 'ugly'. So if true that's not a good thing.

I guess we'll see.
Sony and LG make high end phones as a side projects/beta test. I kinda hope Sony kills off the premium line, or merge the regular flagship and the premium into one and keeps the compact. Make the high end as big as they want and try to fit the biggest screen in the smallest body.

It's Wednesday and my excitement levels are mid RPM. I'll get back to you if the day feels more like a Monday or a Friday at the end.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

People say the same thing about relationships, hence why there's that "taken but looking" thing.

I gave up on company loyalty eons ago. I just decided not to be an *** when jumping ship.
I haven't had loyalty to a company. Loyalty to people I work with, yes. That's known as respect.

I've never had much respect for mangers etc.

Being a contractor means looking out for ones self. Always keeping an eye out for the next opportunity. You try not to settle in a company. That's can be dangerous.

I try to never burn bridges but sometimes it's unavoidable. Sometimes you just don't suit a work environment. Always an important question to ask any employer. Of course they sometimes lie, well often and sometimes you have no choice of where you work.

Such is life. I personally don't want to be staff at a company every again. I don't gain anything from it.

Anyway I'll see about meeting with this manager and see what's what. Not sure what to think. Their company is small and fairly young (by engineering company standards). I'll have to figure out if going to work with them would be worth it. Money is more important to me than anything else. I'm not out to make a career.

In other news our car got towed...

Really pissed off. The parking spot we were parked in turned into a construction zone. We weren't told this by the guy we're renting from. To make things even more annoying we think it's his construction....

I'm not happy.

It's Wednesday alright. Transmission in my company truck bit the big one at 5:30 this morning. It should be illegal for anything to go wrong before the 1st cup of coffee.

Ugh! That's not cool. He should have told you two about this.

Exhibit A for why I have only manual transmission vehicles in my house. My boss is looking at a $3,500 bill for the new tranny on a truck with barely 141k miles. My Hummer has 176k and my Escape has 202k and neither has any symptoms of starting to wear out the clutch. Dead battery, no sweat. A little shove and a quick dump into 3rd and away we go.

I walked in this morning, turned the work phone on, and the day went to **** in the first 3 minutes.

He should pay for the towing costs.
Found out he didn't know about it or where they planned to use anyway. I think he knew there was work being done but not much else.

It's apparently 'typical' French for things like this to happen.

We didn't check our car. They put a notice on it but we didn't know. I can't say for certain when it was put there.

So technically our fault.

Oh Sorry about that. I hope that the towing isn't crazily priced.

Work fit, life fit, a mix? You don't have to answer but confirmation is a solid start.
Doesn't matter what type of stuff that doesn't fit. All that matters is stuff doesn't fit and needs to change.

It wasn't ridiculously expensive but had we not gotten it yesterday it would have increased on a daily basis.

The things I don't know for sure is when/if a notice was put on the car and how much the landlord knew about anything.

Anyway, lesson learned and need to check on the car daily now. Which is annoying. As much as we like living here the parking situation is ****.

Happy over commercialised, pay extortionate prices and evoke fake romance day!

Nothing says I love you like being told you have to say I love you....
