If absence does make the heart grow fonder, there might be a problem. I miss one day and I realized that I was thinking of my friend. This is a lot and lately, I'm debating if I should say anything. Please note that when I say, "say anything", I mean just in a general sense. I don't expect anything to come out of it.
A part of me wants to let him know for his own sake, take the time to process what happens there and then move on.

This is the thing as consumers I don't like. Most of us have become lazy and accept half assed software support while spending increasing sums of money on flashy hardware.
Maybe I got it fixed now!?

The problem is that it takes a certain level of maturity to handle that. Some people want friends with a sexual component to their setup but don't want for ask for that. Some people just want simple friends but because people are so used to the underhanded way of getting friends with a sexual component are very wary of it.
When people just cannot be grown up enough to ask for what they want and deal with the consequences of their request...
I've always liked the idea of having a close friend from the opposite gender. When do right, it's very healthy. My work wife fits that bill for me.

Basically its because we moved house, and we're staying temporarily with my inlaws. They subscribed to different satellite TV packages which I'm not keen on watching.
I love watching football & movies, I can get my fix of English football & HBO thru streaming services on the laptop.... not ideal, but do-able. Other family members started to watch more stuff on their laptops/surface. So we finally decided to ditch the TV subscription.
If we we need to see something on a big screen, the HDMI or the MSFT wireless display adaptor are options. but its a hassle to set up so I havent tried it lately.

I believe that this is a thing, as you said, when done right. Otherwise, this can be very sticky and messy.
Sadly, it does come down to what you said. At this point, I don't know what to expect if I do this (I really can't tell how he feels) but I'm working towards being strong enough to accept either outcome.
