WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I've tried posting food pics elsewhere but no one really cares. So I'll post them here.

This a vegan restaurant we went to on Friday. It's called brEATh.

Overall it's a 4.5/5.

The let down was the burger which not bad was not great. The 'meat' was seitan but not a proper patty and there was a cheese and macaroni fritter thing on top which didn't really go. However the other bits were great and other meals we saw looked really good.

To some (even in science) it would have appeared 'obvious' that there would be a difference but they haven't found anything distinct yet other than minute differences in size.

Brain science is still in it's infancy but has come a long way. Unfortunately bias is there.
There's always been too much bias, especially from (white European) men. That won't change for a while, but we still have to work through it.

Went to La Purisima Mission in Lompoc, CA on Saturday for a field trip with the kid.

Active 2 large, active 2 small and galaxy watch 42mm, in order. If one wants a bit more weight, I can see how the active 2 stainless steel makes sense. Still, if I didn't like heft and the rotating bezel, I would own the black aluminum active 2 large and add a black leather band (like the two I have), a tan leather band, two nylon colored workout bands, a black steel band with gold trim and a black resin band for something different. I believe it supports standard Qi wireless now for additional convenience.

The active 2 feels really, really light. I wouldn't touch the active 2 small at all, unless someone needs the ECG and just get the active one instead which looks just like the active 2 small. The digital rotating bezel is OK. I love how light it feels, how discreet it looks, and the Qi wireless charging.

As impressed as I am with the active 2's wrist feel, I wouldn't get one to replace anything I have. But I'd recommend it to someone getting a new watch for sure that doesn't like heft on their wrists. Which one has the blue colour on its face (2nd last picture)? I like that one, but all 3 look nice.

That looks really good.

So just a general update.

We started looking for a new place to live recently. The house we are renting was only a temporary solution while we sorted some things out.

Our currently lease ends in March next year but we feel it's time to start looking now.

We found a house closer to my work, better location for my wife and since it's a house (very rare here) good for the cat. The rental laws here make renting anything a pain. That's why our current situation is with the owners. But it seemed like we are finally in a position where we can rent properly. I think.

So we booked to view this house today. Then, an hour before the viewing I got a call informing me that they had cancel due to the keys missing.

Now, it's really difficult not to be suspicious and giving them benefit of doubt but it's hard when we've experienced so many difficulties already. But they did say they'd get back to us when they find the keys. My only assumption at this time is that another of their colleagues has them but I don't know for sure. It could be due to some other event happening and this is their excuse but who knows right?

In any case this is just another one of those situations where we have to see where it goes.

I really hate looking for places to live...

It's tough. Hope you find something soon.

On a side note, if you're having such a fun time doing that, can you imagine what I'm doing when one of my clients (senior, limited financial resources, chronic medical conditions) ask "can you fine me a place to stay?"

That's the Galaxy watch, 42mm (takes standard 20mm straps). That's in black or rose gold. It has the physical rotating bezel.
Thanks. It looks really nice, and I like the rotating bezel. I'll have to look into the watches and try them on. I know this sounds like a stupid question, but where are smart watches sold other than online? I'd really want to try them on to see how they look and feel on my wrist before buying one online.

I'm sorry to hear that showing got cancelled. I really hope it works out. That sure sounds like a lousy excuse to say they can't find the keys. Is this rental from an independent landlord or a management company?

Yeah, that's really tough, especially with all the gentrification happening and shady landlords finding ways to force tenants in rent-controlled apartments to move.

What a rut this has been. SMH.
For those who think that we're in 2019 and that the time of advantages for those who have the Laura look are behind us, I laugh and ask "how else do you think that Mr. Clue's tio got into El White house?"

For example, got a current mentor what can pass but the last name gives her away as a boricua. She was looking at an internal post and did her sleuthing and was told "if it ain't look like Rue, they don't want it". And in the old place, they're going the same shenanigans.

It's tough to have to work twice as hard just to be level. But those are the breaks.
