WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I see the new Oneplus 8 models. I still would buy a V60 over both if I was being a value for money consumer in that price segment.

Price comparison:

$700 - Oneplus 8 (base model - 128GB + 8GB RAM)

$799: V60 (128GB +8GB RAM + micro SD slot = Oneplus 8 (12GB RAM +256GB)

$899: V60 (128GB +8GB RAM + micro SD slot) + dual screen = Oneplus 8 pro (base model - 128 GB + 8GB RAM)

To me, the only places Oneplus wins are in screen and software support. V60 does offer fast wireless charging. Now it offers Wacom stylus support...and still better audio.

And yet, the LG V60 will still get hammered. While the Oneplus 8 will get praised as Oneplus lubricates it's customers to charge big boy prices.

Yup, ain't nothing I've seen this year looks appealing. Qualcomm SD865 and SD765 is like the SD810 and SD808...very controversial. Both years, greed is the factor. With the latter, they were greedy to push out a 64-bit chip when Apple switched to 64-bit and caught them with their pants down (the SD805 was still a monster chip). With the former, especially the 865, it is only being solid with the 5G radio added on (both the 855 and 855+ 5G radio was optional). So either you buy it enabled, like most people or you buy it with 5G disabled (iQoo).

So I wanted to be greedy but I won't. I'll swap out the V40 for the V50. I'll likely take a hit on the V40 that's OK. It is a T-mobile unlocked (code through the carrier no less). Keep seeing people score their korean V50 for $350. If I can find it for that, I'd do it yesterday. I'm really liking the Pixel 3 XL and I'm wondering if that would be a better business pairing to the iPhone (especially since I have a Verizon model). But I'll what my set up will be eventually. I know the LG is the daily driver.

Ha, so my mom wants to spend no more than $70 for a phone that works well internationally for when they travel. The camera has to be decent, speaker has to be good and loud for calls and they don't mind a good used phone. I don't know how this is going to work, but I was thinking of going down the Nokia route (like one of the earlier HMD phones maybe or one of the .1 phones), or a older Samsung Galaxy A series. Her main phone here is a Moto G5, and I gave them my old Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) for the cause when traveling.

I told her that I don't know if $70 is possible, since they also don't want a really big phone. I'll have to dig down the rabbit hole to search, but open to thoughts, suggestions. They aren't interested in any iPhones so Android only.

An older Moto G7 or G6?
How about a Nuu Mobile X6?

Yup. Last time I used an Apple computer consistently Melania had no kids...and no Einstein visa either...and manually coding FRACTALS to generats VGA graphics was a thing. .
I still have these things in the house

I wish my grandfather hadn't thrown away a sewing machine like that which my grandmother used years ago. It was a very cool antique. Apparently, she no longer used it, so he just got rid of it.

This belongs to my late mother in law as her wedding present, so it's at least 60 yrs old... a simple machine, with no option for motor attachments. Its all hands, feet and eye coordination!!!
My mum has a couple of 'newer' machines too. Her sewing days have long gone as she is now in her early nineties. It folds away beneath its own table and is motorised. Coolest thing was the belt was made of leather!!

Workarounds. That is just so Windows of you.

I laughed so hard. Did you know, that when you install 2nd Windows 10 on your different partition, it'll save a couple of MB by not installing seperate boot files. That means, you always boot from 1 partition (or even worse drive) and you can't format that one.

That's what happened to me.

I think you might find good luck with somewhat older Xiaomi models. Even new ones.

I just got super frustrated with my prof. assistant. We had to give in photos of the tasks we did on paper, but the man limited the upload to a single file. It took me 4 pages to finnish it, that's 4 photos. The man's an *****. It's not like there's storage or bandwith issues, he just did it, for no reason.

Anyway, I've sent them via email. That's just an extra step that I shouldn't have taken.

I've got an old Pentium 2 PC somewhere lying around. The monitor on that thing is just a little bit bigger than my phone's screen.
The first PC I bought in late 90s.. was a Taiwanese-made Leo clone Pentium II, 266mHz, 24GB. maxtor HD, 4GB RAM.. it was cutting edge!!
