So today for lunch we decided to go to the vegan bakery we know. It's in Paris and a bit of a drive in.

It felt very weird. There were more people on the streets there than around our place.

Overall though it weren't smoothly.

Got a vegan chicken sandwich for lunch and a lot of bread. They also sold flour so got some of that too.

So I've been on some check in calls for work from the top. They've made it really chill as they've discussed lots of helpful information for COVID-19 - meds updates, research, treatment changes, general policy, etc. They've had some light moments to - talking about how some of the online platforms were hacked and bombed with porn.

It's nice to see some of the super top leadership in the program I'm in. We never get to see them. It's also another reminder of how much of a small fry I am in the larger wheel and how far away I am from a place like that professionally.

It can be seen as depressing or motivating - that's up to the individual to decide how they want to use it.

Yay you finally got some flour! I can imagine how weird this was.

Speaking of weird/interesting things, a county in my state has suggested that people can only grocery shop on certain days based on the first letter of their last name. This was in a video so I don't know if any of y'all will be able to view it. For example, people who have a last name that starts with A, should shop on days ending with 0 and 9. They are doing this because there's been too many people in the grocery stores to maintain social distancing.

I'd love to get away but can't.

We're restricted. Anyone leaving and caught gets a hefty fine here.

Doesn't mean people haven't gone (especially the first week) or tried to but they're pretty tough now about it.

Some of course have taken COVID 19 with them.... Which is why we're restricted....

Let's be clear. I can understand people wanting to go. Especially those with kids. So long as they locked down and took precautions I think that's fine. However, there's lots of people who simply don't care. This causes the spread...

It's worse than here then. We can still move withing our canton (I think they're going to restrict it to municipalities soon), so it's not that horrible.

ah!! it's one of those what ifs.....
We have a fruit farm that's a hour drive away from the city. Procrastination ruled that we never got around to build that small house that should have been done mid-last year... Growing some vege, fruit and some poultry would be ideal.
Our lockdown-lite has enforced a driving restriction of 10 km radius from place of stay...
That off-grid house in the hills would be very ideal though.

That same procrastination got me 2 weeks behind in college. Got to put it into top gear if I'm to catch up.

I love the idea. I was actually hoping they'd come up with something similar here.

We used to ban all cars with a non-pair first number on the plates on a pair day, and vice versa, to reduce pollution.

We're in lockdown so it's basically stay home unless you're getting food, helping a family member in need, work, or some light exercise.

Exercise is restricted to 1km radius.

Wear a mask and gloves if you can. If you're sick stay home.

That's the rules.

Thing is lots of people over the Easter holiday wanted to leave for the South of France or wherever their second home was or parents home etc.

That's against the rules.

Overall the French haven't been too bad but if you look at the numbers it's not fantastic.

So my wife has a Facebook friend (used real loosely here) who is full on in denial of the pandemic and believes it's a cover-up for government to enforce control over people. You guess is as good as mine as to why.

They don't think the deaths are any more than normal. The numbers are typical for this time of year.

They post all these conspiracy sites which take part information (typical conspiracy theory ploy) which has experts refuting the virus and how serious it is.

They believe that ventilation is killing people instead of the virus or their underlying issues. It's well known that underlying issues typically cause death in 91% of cases.

They believe that vitamin C is a cure all... Especially intravenously and should be used instead of ventilation or drugs.

I know vitamin C has been disrupted for decades about being a cure all but these thing persist. Not sure about the intravenous aspect. I think there's dispute there.

To top it all off they live in Madrid Spain.

My personal opinion. If they think it's all a scan go help in the hospital, unprotected...

These people drive me nuts.

I do wonder though when things are sort of back to some level of normal what will they say then?

As usual there's no taking to people like this because 'they know the truth'...

I see how Easter can cause problems. I'm expecting things to get worse soon, now that Ramadan is almost here. There's just no reason in some people.

Imagine me trying to explain the Gaussian curve to my not-well educated relatives and the impact of staying home it has on it.

Scientific and fact based explanation? Nope. Somewhat plausible explanation based on assumptions and fact manipulation? Yes please.

Today marks 27 years of Ahmići massacre (politics made sure it's not classified as a genocide), where neighbours slaughtered neighbours just because of a few minor differences. That being their names of arabic origins and different worshiping place.

That's why you do not want people like Trump running any kind of (especially American), governments.

And this is not an exaggeration, naratives are too much alike.

I've been trying to listen to different music lately. Have been stuck with the same songs for years now, only god knows when was the last time I explored.

I'm looking into Slash's Snakepit and W.A.S.P. for now, maybe some Alter Bridge. Just generally things I've never listened to before.

I don't think I've ever thanked you enough Rue, for compiling that comprehensive list of Led Zeppelin songs. I ended up liking 90% of them.

Wow.

Those kind of people are just extra annoying now.
