Sigh. That's not how this is supposed to work. I know, I shouldn't be surprised, but why the heck were they awarded? It's probably not the entire reason but no wonder why the program ran out of funds...

I’m not surprised at all but not for the usual “I hate Trump with every fiber of my being” reasons. There are 22 million people unemployed today that had jobs a month ago. If anyone thought 3.5 billion for “small businesses” would make a dent then they have no idea how the economy works.

If any good comes out of this pandemic it’s that the general public will once and for all realize how trickledown economics got its nickname “voodoo economics”. It’s smoke and mirrors and nothing else. I’ll leave it at that to avoid Laura’s hammer.

And even though we know about the joys of trickle down economics and how little 3.5 billion help, there is STILL a way for the pleonexia of the conglomerates to be unabashed display in the same way Mr. Trump's temper and ego on display during a news conference when he hears he doesn't like?

Even when things go to hell and a handbasket, the rich people still are begging for a break.

My city is now declared a red zone, a C19 cluster was found in the local Children & Maternity Hospital. In all probability, the staff got it from outside the hospital from the community.
One other aspect I can't get my head around is, people that goes to hospital/clinics and not telling the staff that they have been in close contact with people or family with the virus.. . it just endangers the frontliners
It's day 31 of MCO... my wife gave me a long overdue haircut...
Farmers have been hit by not able to sell their produce, NGOs and good people have collected and distributed vegetables that would have otherwise gone bad, we got two head of cabbage delivered FOC to the house.

I've been trying to listen to different music lately. Have been stuck with the same songs for years now, only god knows when was the last time I explored.

I'm looking into Slash's Snakepit and W.A.S.P. for now, maybe some Alter Bridge. Just generally things I've never listened to before.
I'm in a similar boat at the moment.

Not sure what I feel like listening to either.

There was a radio station I used to listen to in the UK which played new bands but they started to get too obsessed with Oasis and the stuff the brothers have brought out since.

I've never been a huge fan of Oasis. Never understood the popularity.

Some of the stuff Noel has brought out isn't too bad. It's different which is why I like it. His brothers stuff is a bit boring.

I liked the the first two Oasis album but have no time for them now... its a football thing

I have big collection of music, anything I play in the house has to cater to the other people in the house, or at least don't annoy them... so no EDM or Classical or loud wild mood swings
Been rotating :- slow, acoustics, soft rock, blues
Johnny Cash, Simon & Garfunkel, ELO (New World Record, Out Of The Blue, Essentials), JJ Cale (Travelogue), Neil Young (Harvest Moon, Silver & Gold), some ambient stuff ( Brian Eno, Gavin Bryars, Glass) lots of Van Morrisson.. and sneak in the occasion classic from Krafftwerk

I've tried listening to online radio, even found a few nice stations, but ended up not liking it, can't really remember why.

Haven't listened to any you've mentioned, maybe I'll check it out later.

I just stumbled upon this anti-electricity cartoon from 1900s (I believe). That's how those who burn 5G stations look like now.

Spent the last 3 hours fixing our project Word document. I can not understand how someone who's 20+ years old and is 2nd year of college, can't format his document well. I swear, on just one page, one colleague had 2 different font types, sizes and different alignments.

Power Point is just a little bit better. Though another colleague has a different animation for every one of his slides. It just looks like a kinder garden presentation to be honest. And the amount of text they put on those. Dear Lord. What's the use of that Word document then.

Most people don't pay attention to those details, that's why. It's one of the reasons why I've always thought that there should be some mandatory professional writing course in college. We had that when I was in school but that's likely changed.

I was lucky where I had a few good teachers so some basics of editing - not just program usage - still stick in the brain. It's such a lost skill. Sometimes people have great ideas that are presented like ; sometimes people have well presented but ideas.

I'm working through a situation at work (pt related) that isn't sitting well with me.

I think I'm going to go down the rabbit hole and see if this idea I have as a solution is good enough for a public policy proposal. I'm gonna need all the luck I can get. I'm concerned because of how toxic the political climate is here in 'Murica. But, I'll do my research and see what happens.

Wow. And they assume that every "young" person knows how to do everything with Office and other software.

I can confirm without any doubt that a lot of 'young' people are completely clueless about IT in general.

They can 'use' their phones but that's about it.

It really is no different today than it was two decades ago. Those who are interested know. Everyone else doesn't care.
