Agreed about that but to be clear, plastic is petrochemical product. All plastics.

The idea is to get rid of single use plastic. All of it. That's the stuff everything is wrapped in when you go to the grocery stores or the bags you get or whatever you buy that gets thrown away after you're done with it.

Why? Well they don't biodegrade quickly.

They get into the ocean and kill sea life. It then gets made into micro plastics which are ending up in our food chain.

That's just one part of things. That's not accounting for synthetic clothing which releases micro plastics when wash them or even simply walk in the street. Which means you breath that in if they're a lot of people.

I know, it's just that our part in global warming is way less significant than it is of giant corps. And these don't really put too much work to make it any better.

Just finnished my last VBA assignment. It took me a hell of a lot longer than I thought it would, but that's all thanks to me not paying enough attention to the description. I did 90% of it, only to realise I was doing it the wrong way (the outcome is the same, but it was the method that was important), so I had to redo it all.

Might post the code later, so Rue can see what we're doing. 3D modeling is a bit more fun than 2D drawing.

I agree with you totally. But to suggest we don't have an impact on changing things is incorrect.

We can make a difference by changing how we shop. For instance.

Also, not to go all plant based silly, I still eat fish and meat, though not as much, the meat industry has the same carbon footprint as transport about 20%

Beef being the worst.

We are killing the planet for our love of meat.

Congratulations! How do you feel? Ugh redoing it sounds like a pain.

That's true. Though it's important to notice that 70% of the meat I eat at home comes from our neighbours. Something I can't say is the same when I'm in Sarajevo.

I think the most we can do is, as you said, stop using plastic bags. I see zero desire in both people and markets in my country to change this.

We also have a huge issue with illegal garbage dumps. You can find these in the most beautiful parts of the nature. Sad really.

To be clear, I'm referring to global meat industry. I have nothing against small local farms and eating local, that's sustainable.

As for plastics. Unless people understand the reality, see it for themselves (for some reason tv isn't good enough) they won't change.

As for what's known as we 'fly tipping'. It's an issue in lots of places. Australia, UK, France, etc.

With too many people on the planet, the strain on the planet is both astronomical and unsustainable.

Very interesting moves happening in the second hand cell phone market. I've seen prices in the refurbished section creep up as people have picked through the first wave of deals, shrinking supply. Guess people are home and looking for a deal with new model prices consistently being rent money.

Battery tech is still the next frontier in mobile phone design. So there's an article circling that Oppo's VOOC charging has the downside of high attery degradation over time vs other charging solutions.

Not surprised.

It's partly why I have always been wary of the speed charging chase and preferred tech that looked after battery health - Sony. Doesn't help when the move to non user replaceable batteries to make phones more disposable.

Qi isn't better, really as it's not the most efficient. I wish that there is some useful movement here. I think there is work being done here, it's just a matter of when.

I'm getting annoyed at the constant freezing on my computer. I'm even more annoyed that I didn't make a manual restore back up like I should have. Sigh.
