Uh oh...The moment you realise the situation has changed when the city restarts ticketing for city parking.

Apparently the Trader Joe's version of the spread is to be avoided. My current French client put me on to it. Tasty stuff.
Agreed about that but to be clear, plastic is petrochemical product. All plastics.
The idea is to get rid of single use plastic. All of it. That's the stuff everything is wrapped in when you go to the grocery stores or the bags you get or whatever you buy that gets thrown away after you're done with it.
Why? Well they don't biodegrade quickly.
They get into the ocean and kill sea life. It then gets made into micro plastics which are ending up in our food chain.
That's just one part of things. That's not accounting for synthetic clothing which releases micro plastics when wash them or even simply walk in the street. Which means you breath that in if they're a lot of people.
I agree with you totally. But to suggest we don't have an impact on changing things is incorrect.I know, it's just that our part in global warming is way less significant than it is of giant corps. And these don't really put too much work to make it any better.
I'd say that Trader Joe's (outside of their wine shop) by default should be avoided, but that's just me...Apparently the Trader Joe's version of the spread is to be avoided.
And yet you somehow seemed surprised...I just read that people in US are actually killing bees instead of hornets. They're actually making it much worse.
Congratulations! How do you feel? Ugh redoing it sounds like a pain.Just finnished my last VBA assignment. It took me a hell of a lot longer than I thought it would, but that's all thanks to me not paying enough attention to the description. I did 90% of it, only to realise I was doing it the wrong way (the outcome is the same, but it was the method that was important), so I had to redo it all.
Might post the code later, so Rue can see what we're doing. 3D modeling is a bit more fun than 2D drawing.

We can make a difference by changing how we shop. For instance.
Also, not to go all plant based silly, I still eat fish and meat, though not as much, the meat industry has the same carbon footprint as transport about 20%
Beef being the worst.
We are killing the planet for our love of meat.
And yet you somehow seemed surprised...

To be clear, I'm referring to global meat industry. I have nothing against small local farms and eating local, that's sustainable. That's true. Though it's important to notice that 70% of the meat I eat at home comes from our neighbours. Something I can't say is the same when I'm in Sarajevo.
I think the most we can do is, as you said, stop using plastic bags. I see zero desire in both people and markets in my country to change this.
We also have a huge issue with illegal garbage dumps. You can find these in the most beautiful parts of the nature. Sad really.
With too many people on the planet, the strain on the planet is both astronomical and unsustainable. To be clear, I'm referring to global meat industry. I have nothing against small local farms and eating local, that's sustainable.
As for plastics. Unless people understand the reality, see it for themselves (for some reason tv isn't good enough) they won't change.
As for what's known as we 'fly tipping'. It's an issue in lots of places. Australia, UK, France, etc.
