So I'll leave out parts of this story to keep 99's mind clear and stress levels down.

Anyways, I really wanted this in purple. Of course Sony didn't do that, after having the purple the model before. I had test driven the pain black model that Rue always buys and wanted this in copper instead. Settled for this subtle silver green.

Was rocking this heavy during my last trip to the (305) at Cocowalk. Had the cam shut down mid shoot in the arts district too...running it too hard.

Yup, this was one of the phones Rue and I had in common at one point.

The camera shutting down is so Sony
That is what came to mind when reading this.

It's cool to see one of the Sony phones you have had though. I don't know much about watches to guess that one.

So I went fishing because I have Nokia N86 8MP in my ebay cart for eons. Then I saw it...a silver red E71. That phone was about as hot as this girl in workout pants I saw in the supermarket today.

It brought me back - not the girl in the workout pants, I didn't know her, although with that built lower half of hers PLENTY of people have hollered at her - to one of my favorite phones.

I had the E71, in both silver black and silver white, which was gorgeous. The camera has just atrocious and it used a 2.5mm jack, but man, the keyboard and styling were amazing. So I lent the E71 to my ex at the time to give her a phone when she was in Mexico for two weeks on missionary trip - she was in seminary school. Of course with her klutz self the phone got stolen and she spent the rest of the trip talking to me periodically on her classmate's phone.

I was crushed at her carelessness. Knew she was a klutz going in but she whined about wanting to have her own phone to talk to me and her mom while on the trip.

Ever since, I've thought about getting one occasionally. So I see the red one and I'm tempted...the battery is missing and the gaskets covering the microSD and micro USB ports. Plus, the seller has the full IMEI in one of the pictures. .

Yup, so like my ex, and the girl in the supermarket earlier, had to shake my head and move on. Maybe I'll get another silver white one again. That red though, boss incarnate.

Seeing some refurbished units here. Not sure if I'll pull the trigger.

I liked the E66 too, but preferred the N86 8MP more. We will see if I rolled the dice and get them both.

I was very close to getting a bnib E73 Mode a while back. Very nice camera on that one and the battery ran for days. But the keyboard was as cramped as the HP Veer’s and that’s saying a lot. Speaking of, I miss my little panda Veer.

I loved the E71. Compared to the Blackberry 9000, the E71 had a great camera. I also liked the trackpad on the E71 better than the trackball on the BB9000. However I did like the fact that the trackball glowed.

This has to be Moto 360. You wouldn't shut up about it some years ago. I feel like you had a romantic relationship with that watch.
That's because in terms of looks it was the best smartwatch design I've ever seen. It's still just as clean as the Apple watch. In terms of the build quality and tech underneath, it was a hot mess. I would still love to see a proper refresh of it now.

The Bold 9000 was the most boss keyboard I ever typed on. Never owned a Passport, so I cannot speak to that. Wanted one, but went with the Bold 9700, which was really good in its own right. Once you had the muscle memory down, you could literally fly on those. The Nokia E71's keyboard was good but not the same for me.

Wished I had taken some more days from work. Wished that my relationship with my current work site wasn't so complicated, really. I do like the people I've gotten to work with as clients and colleagues a lot. Just not a fan as to how management does things. As flawed as my supervisor's approach is, she's just a go between - someone groomed by one of her old bosses for her current position.

That's how supervisors and managers survive unfortunately. There's no bonus or reward fighting the system in most organizations. If anything that just gets you extra coaching opportunities... hope your Monday improves

This will likely not change anytime soon until I'm in more control of my own hours and opportunities. Just more stuff I have to chew through to get to where I want. I am glad I'm off today though. Guess I could tolerate the work at home experience more if the place wasn't so small. Another thing to work on.

It looks a lot like my Amazfit Stratos. While on the topic, I have to buy a replacement strap for it. This rubber one got beaten and torn apart. Will probably look into faux leather ones or Gearbest on Aliexpress.

You meant the other way around, as this came first.

If it uses either 20mm or 22mm bands, I can suggest you a TON of strap options...most are cheaper than they look.

Not mourning the passing of my Charge2. Dusted off the cobwebs and strapped on the G-Shock that I got for free last year from the bank... it tells the time and has an alarm.. and absolutely no worries about charging.

This will do for now..... not in a hurry to fitness tracker or smart watch. Saw some local reviews on Realme ones. The price is nice

So...i live in one of the outer boroughs, deep in the outer boroughs. This is why certain things are hard to explain.

I'm going to post two pictures on social distancing. Both are a part of the MTA's plan to notify riders of distancing. The first one is listed in Union Square in Manhattan, the second was where my stop is. As you can see, the first one is of a better quality overall - more durable. The second is some Etch-A-Sketch stenciled that looks like it'll wear off if you sneeze, pee get regular foot traffic or the slightest thunderstorm hits it.

Now some may say - MTA has no money. Yes, there is some truth in that. Some may say, that's easier to install because of the tile layout on some platforms are different vs others. My counterpoint: how you find money to do some the good way and others this ? You have the subways closed right now from 1-5AM - you tell me you could do any staggered work to install a better version on the outer platforms?

Now, I'll add in the other layers. Union Square of course is in Manhattan. I'm in an outer borough. In one of the poorer neighborhoods, mostly brown people now (used to be a Jewish enclave). Of course the optics of putting the bootleg version in the poor neighborhood has its own look.

But hey, you decide...

The interesting part here is the first one is actually like a skin. I didn't touch it, but saw it at one of the tiled stations where it is placed misaligned with one of the tiles. This is the size that the typical square on many of the platforms (above and underground) look like. Yup, it's concrete.

So my point still stands. If these were stickers, why not buy enough to tile all stations equally? Why give this to the outer boroughs/smaller stations? As you can see, it's already starting to fade...IMG_20200615_103018.jpeg

The looks are a bit too much for me. Have you thought about Mi Band 3 or 4? They're great and dirt cheap for what they are.
