I'll admit, the Xr's battery life is nice (so far). It's nice to shelf the battery anxiety. At the same time, the X would be a little easier to carry around.

Well, I'm curious about your iPhone 10-R adventures. I suppose of you were able to tolerate the weight of Andy's phone, you should be able to tolerate the weight of the iPhone 10.

Man, the Skagen is small. It's LG Watch Style small. Huawei watch OG small. LG G Watch small. Because I have big wrists, they swallow small watches whole. The screen is tiny too.

So I know the battery life is gonna be trash. It has no features, like the Watch Style. It's the first watch since the Sony Smartwatch 3 I've used as a daily driver that's lacked a heart rate monitor. But it looks really clean. Disappointed that the band I bought was more khaki colored than tan and lacked quick release pins. But the leather felt nice so I'll break it in until I get the other stuff I wanted (wood bands). It also has this sleek look for the lugs I like that reminds of the the Moto 360.

So I've got 3 dress style Android Wear watches in the Fossil Q Explorist, Skagen Falster and Huawei watch (maybe in boredom I'll take a picture). Only my Huawei watches have heart rate monitors, only my Huawei watch 2 sport has GPS and NFC.

What does it mean? As barren as Android Wear has become, I still like it.

You're right about the weight. It doesn't feel as heavy to me but it is still a little big.

Saw some of my friends tonight and one of them was able to get a XS as a replacement phone from work (She was coming from a 5 that is at the end of its life, even with a battery replacement so massive change)! Putting her phone next to the Xr was interesting. The Xr didn't seem to be that much bigger or taller, which was a surprise.

However, I just got a great chance to get a X for a really sweet price. I'm really liking the gestures and the Xr. FaceID is quirky...

You're right about the weight. It doesn't feel as heavy to me but it is still a little big.

You are right, the bands and watch styles are totally different but that's really cool though.

Yep! It seems like a step back but the height of this thing will drive me nuts. I don't think I would notice the difference anyway though. Seeing my friend's XS reassured my decision that I desire that size. It will be easier to type and to reach the control center/notifications.

Yep, that's basically it so I feel less bad about not having access to it (unless I wish to give up various things to get a chunk of money off). My only concern in going back a generation is with FaceID. It is quirky for me currently anyway so we will see once it's on its way to me. Lesser battery life too is also a concern of mine but I know that life with the 7 already.

How I see it is that if anything else, I could always rebuy a Xr. It's not going anywhere.
