WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

No plans to buy the 8.1 or the Sirocco. My wife likes the Sirocco but I don't think she'll get it. She likes a smaller phone but it's becoming harder to find.
I don't think the Sirocco is as small as it looks...

The new small is the Pixel 3/iphone X/S9/G7. I wish her well in her search.

She's seen it and held it.

It's bigger than what she likes but she knows small phones are disappearing.

I should point out she prefers a bit bigger phone but she has small hands and small pockets so it's more of a necessity for her.

She doesn't carry a bag with her that often.

I might have mentioned it before but I can relate to her on wanting a smaller phone. The X is the smallest that works best with my network. I could get a 8, but it has lesser battery life over the X.

Re: WC 150K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

Dimensions can be misleading...

That's fair but I believe that applies more when it comes to the width. I have noticed the difference between the Pixel 2 and iPhone 7 in height. My bag also notices the difference as well lol.

Yep I recall is talking about that.

However no iFruit in this household.

It's all about the length, eh? Ignoring the girth piece too, eh?

That's so stereotypically reinforcing...

When people complained about how thick the XZ2 Compact was, I didn't get it. It felt fine to me. Smaller, shorter phones fit better in lady pockets so height is most important to me (and how well it fits in my bag, since I have a phone pocket).

While the Xr fit that bag pocket, it was a struggle to not only close my bag but also open it. It's easier with the X but not as easy as it was with the 7.

Missed that one I see...

It's interesting because once the iPhone 6+, a ton of women flocked to it because it was big enough yo be easily found in the abyss called their handbags. I went from seeing a lot of iPhone pressing on butts in the back pocket of tight pants/jeans/slacks to the phone peeking out of the top of said pants.

I remember looking at them just after launch and this typical Apple user looking confused at it. Her worry was she was so used to the phone in the armband while working out/arm. I told her they'll make a case big enough. And sure enough, I left her trying to see how the phone would fit in her back pocket and strapped to her arm.

Figured those women fueled the big screen rush (and it was Apple's way of catering to people leaving for the Note's big screen experience).

Sadly, these folks have outpaced your wife and Libra...

The 8's jack is a real weakness. It just cannot drive the headphones I have how I want it to. I kinda wish it didn't have one, but otherwise it is serviceable.
