WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So I'm thinking of getting a new case for my phone but having difficulty deciding...

As much as TPU cases I dislike the fact they always cover the buttons.

Unfortunately it's hard to find a good case...

Yeah I saw that one just wasn't sure.

My wife's car for her X5 has a weird feeling to it I don't like.

I'm assuming this is better.

I'd like to keep the case thin but I have thought about bamboo. Not sure I've seen any though.
I've used these and they've worked for me. I prefer the ones with a bit more grip.

So I can be all Sahib esque and do a ton of posts here today, but I'm not sure if I'm in the mood to do all that yet.

So I like this new agnostic set up I have on the V35. Chrome is still way better in terms of search results, yet Bing is still serviceable enough for me. Edge has been OK as a browser and I disabled the features where it looks like the Google now feed - I can get that elsewhere. Added the Blackberry hub subscription for the privacy shade and the calendar app. It's a nice mix...not too MSFT, not too Google centric.

Overall, I'm mostly satisfied. As always I wish LG hadn't used a smaller sensor in the V35, and wished there was a bigger battery, but this will do as the current daily driver. While the hardware is always subject to change, I think this style software set up will do for the next stretch.

Also, as much as I like the odd aspect ratios, the now old school 6" 18:9 is the sweet spot for me. Will always love how LG, Xiaomi and Huawei did this screen size. Big enough tsee what I need, small enough to be pocket friendly.

Plus, it's nice to know for an event where I want to really take a camera along, I can swap off to a 9 Pureview or a Mate 20 Pro. Not bad, really.

I think ultimately that's where I plan to stay. I'm too much an enthusiast to fully narrow down to one set device. There are a few if given the right opportunity I'd like to add to have, but if I don't, that's OK. I certainly wouldn't mind adding a Pixel, Mi Mix 3 5G, Xperia, Key2, etc. Am I racing out there to get any of these? Nope.

This is where I was stating that my itch is over. I'm not going to pigeonhole myself really anymore. Most of my phone data is cloud tied and I actively back up pictures. Sometimes platform agnostics work.

It sounds like you have an ideal setup that works for you, and I'm glad to hear this.

This doesn't work for everyone. It works for me whereby it takes away that restrictive feeling. I understand that these things are depreciating assets. That's why 99 is so non loyal to ANY device and that makes a TON of sense.

It's also why something like a V50 is appealing to me. I don't mind LG software and the V40 experience reinforced my feeling about the versatility but just wishing the internals were a little bit better. I don't want the Sprint model, plus the Verizon and Korean ones are so expensive. I don't need the dual screen accessory either.

Going from a V35 to a V50 the upgrades are there for cameras and battery size. From a V40 to a V50 it's a bit murkier. Will I still get one? Sure - if the price is right. Otherwise I can with the V35 or grab a G8.
