WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

I forgot that you do have such a range of stuff. That sounds like it will be very interesting for you.
There's some stuff I have though that I would like to really test out. I think if I get better at using some of the stuff I have, it allows me to get even more out of the V35 as the current daily driver.

Sometimes some of us get caught up in the hype of the features or selling points of a device where "the average consumer" outlook is more prudent. People just want something that does certain things as well as the oem is claiming that it will do. These things are items of convenience, so when they don't deliver the convenience that is being advertised, they don't sell - and in some ways, rightfully so.

It's the hype that gets people into trouble as OEMs aren't in the business of making friends more than making money off sales.

I can honestly say that all the stuff I own delivers on the convenience that I'm looking for at this point (albeit it not in one package unfortunately).

I still like the G7 due to the (relatively) compact nature of the

I like the V35 has it has the in hand feel I prefer.

I like the V40 as it does deliver on a slightly bigger screen and camera versatility

I like the Mate 20 Pro as it's high end device focused on stills.

I like the 9 Pureview because if you're willing to learn how to use the camera, it puts in some unique work.

They're in my roster because of these points. Their shortcomings are well documented, and well valid. Still, they're worth being in my stable for those reasons.

The covid-19 topic is very wearing, simply because I want to be able to consume news about it on my own terms. I don't like being force fed it, especially when it's the first thing that someone wants to talk about or tune into the TV about. I get it, the situation is evolving so it's important to keep abreast of pertinent changes. The out there masquerading as information though is a slog to get through.

I agree with you, I feel like I'm news exhausted of having every update pushed and thrown to me. I had 2 people in my life send me the fake news about the president doing a mandatory lock down.

Ooh I'm curious. I like that viewpoint, as I think it's a good one.

The misinformation and conspiracy theories is just crazy out there. I'm glad I'm not on Facebook.

DoorDash is waiving all delivery fees today so that people can support the local restaurants. I was waiting to hear something like this. While I understand they can't do this all the time, it's a start.

I agree with you. There are things that don't change that people use or are more likely to use.

I have to admit that I enjoy being able to type up a message and schedule it to be sent out on a certain date or time. They don't talk about that enough, but many use messaging...

Do I have preferences? Sure. I would swap out the V40 for the V50, making that the daily driver on the convenience front. I'd swap out the G7+ for a Pixel 4/3. I'd like my HTC 10 back.

Otherwise, it's not sufficient preferences to go out there and do the process to get those changes done.

Well, i cannot get a haircut for a while now. Likely what I will do is just trim and neaten up stuff. It's not like growing my hair out isn't something I haven't done in the past...

Decided to go into the city to see how it looks for myself and get a few things done. Wish I could tell the bills to take a hiatus due to COVID-19, be we all know the bills are like the government - doesn't give a damn about all that.

Looks like Whole Paycheck has clamped down on social distancing. Security is out at one of tbr locations I use funneling people into a line, tightly letting in a small number of people at a time. I feel like it's one of those old school iPhone launches.

I got my business done quickly and popped into one of the many bodegas I like for a good hot pastrami. Had to show a bit of support.

For the regulars who were on this thread when I posted pictures of lower Manhattan in darkness from my Galaxy Nexus during Hurricane Sandy, I'll say this: I haven't seen NYC so desolate since those days. This has a very different feel to it, even though some parts of this is similar to those days when the city was trying to get back online to get people back to work.

There's that similarity in that less people were out, there's anxiety about returning to normal. This is different because it has a more extended feel.

I'm continuing my plan to limit myself to walks in the immediate neighborhood for exercise and trips to the supermarket.

I feel for you. I want to get my hair done, but we aren't in a lock down like y'all are. It's hard to schedule anything without knowing my work situation.

This doesn't bother me. The gf would have preferred I cut it last week. That was the plan but my barber was not in town.
