what updates will be coming to EACH device in Amber ?

I know it might be a stupid question but I heard that the 520 won't get double tap to unlock (have no idea what the feature is called)

I've Googled it...no good.

please if someone can just do a comparison, comparing what device will get what new features in the amber update.

I wish to have my eggs (information I need) in one basket long before my upgrade is due. (march 2014)

(referring to lumias, but feel free to include other makes as it may help other users)

I used different key words.


I cant find any mention of the feature where you double tap anywhere on the screen to unlock, do you know the name of this feature and if it exists ? I've heard about it from somewhere.

Lumia Amber

Do all models get the ‘double tap to open’ and ‘flip to silence’ features?
Many features, like ‘double tap to wake up the phone’, require certain hardware specifications to be available on the phone. Not all of the Lumia Amber features are compatible with all Lumia phones. For these reasons, the ‘double tap to wake up the phone’ feature is not supported on Lumia 720, Lumia 720T, Lumia 625, Lumia 620, Lumia 521, Lumia 520, or Lumia 520T. ‘Flip to silence’ on the other hand is available to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 phones so you can just mute an incoming call alert by turning the phone face down.

It's a shame its not supported on the lumia 620, I really hoped it was.
