Whats the deal with Lumia Camera features?

if I reset to 8.1 and reinstall the Lumia apps, including Lumia Camera Beta will they be retained if I upgraded with insider fast track again??
I did a hard reset at 10 so lost it all.
Also, is Lumia Camera Beta compatible with 1020?? If so, is it semi pointless..
What about the Here apps? while i'm asking. I know that has it's own thread sorry, but would like it spelt out

You just need Lumia Camera. Use the "SysApp Pusher" app to get it.

FYI, I've rolled back to 8.1 as 10 is not ready for Lumia cameras....!
