Who Is Planning To Get Surface 14"?

If all other things being equal, weight and battery life will be the deciding factors. The current size of surface pro (3) is good for me but I will see if the 14" wins me over :)

Bought my wife the SP3, to heavy for me as a tablet (reading in bed) so I got the S3. Loving it, but will trade up for equal weight/more power!

Now that we know that it is 13.5 inches. I was planning on getting it until I saw the price. My (2014) MacBook was $1499 with i5, 256gb & Retina. To get a Surface Book with i5 and a dedicated GPU it would run me $1899. To get an i7 and dedicated will run my about $2100 and the top of the line is $2699. Nearly $3000 for the top of the line model. Jeez, that is not desirable (to me).

Except the MBP 13.3" Retina model doesn't have a dedicated graphics in it. So you'd be comparing it to the $1699 model. The SSD is faster cause it's PCIe AND it seperates AND it has a pen AND it's touchscreen. So if you ask me I think it's still decent. It's obviously not designed for the average user.

Oh and did I mention it's higher res? 3000x2000 and it's lighter A LOT LIGHTER.

Sir you just blew my mind.

PC World reported yesterday that the Surface Book only gets 3 hours of battery life when the keyboard is detached. If that's true, probably a deal breaker for me. <sigh...>
