That's where the Priv and the upcoming BlackBerry come in. (or the DTEK50/60, although they don't have a physical keyboard, RGB LED) Got all three. Worth looking at.
I frankly enjoy their Android flavor over stock.

The only thing is: Since it's a custom android skin, your not going to be getting updates regularly. Whereas with Windows we have the insider preview.

Not quite as simple as that though.

Security updates are very prompt. (I get them within a day or so of rollout every month, which sometimes beats Google pushing to their phones)

Major version updates take longer though since BlackBerry messes with it under the hood and that's a negative. I believe there may be a Beta program actually, but don't quote me on that, I don't think Nougat is in there anyway.

Also, Insider Preview isn't a great comparison since it's beta quality code. I would just compare to MS's control over Production where they push a cumulative update monthly and can still put out major updates.

But on the other hand, we can talk about the new features that will be added in say Nougat vs. the competing W10M release and I'm pretty sure even a delayed BlackBerry Nougat would have more new features in the same timespan, (ignoring anything BlackBerry may add) but of course, major iterations are slow, security ones speedy.

(although we're certainly behind the faster releases of Nougat in other devices in Android-land like the Nexus 6P)

Oh... I forgot to mention something.

On BB10 you can listen to YouTube while having the browser minimized or the screen locked.
When I tried W10 there was no way of turning the screen and keeping the music playing. :winktongue:

LE On Windows 8.1 you can lock the screen and YouTube keeps playing too bad not on Windows 10 also...

I got some cables yesterday. Will try out the display dock soon.

I'm still having trouble with email management. Friday night, I had to send to a person not in my contacts with text pasted from another email and an attachment. Couldn't get it right on WP. Fired up the Passport to get it done. I did have a few vodkas that night which likely explains why I drove the Lumia into the ditch. I can handle the Passport impaired due to familiarity and muscle memory.

I do like how WP syncs well with my MS account. Downloaded the tunein app and it had all the favorites I use on the PC. Edge knows me well too.

It also fits in the leg pocket of my carharrt pants. Passport doesn't.

I plan to post a Passport vs Lumia 950XL thread in Crackberry. As we know, many over there are looking for a new home. I'll link it here when its posted.

------THIS IS THE BEST POST I'VE EVER READ on a MobileNations site!!!

Did someone here switch from BlackBerry 10 smartphone to Windows10?

BlackBerry now went to Android... and are dead (at least, for me). And I am thinking about Lumia 950/XL after my BlackBerry Z10. I've played with 640 a lot and I like it. Also, I have Windows 10 on my PC's. And waiting for Surface Phone seems pretty unreal for now.

So, how does Windows 10 feel after BlackBerry 10?

I went right from a BB z30 to a Lumia 950xl a year ago. Since u are already used to not having much apps or dev support from being on bb10 it's actually not bad. The things I needed but were lacking on bb10 such as music streaming and solid cloud storage are dealt with well and directly by Microsoft. It's not bad but u do deal with all the pumpkin pie haircutted freaks whining about it being dead.
