Windows Phone on android device

Microsoft and XiaoMi cooperated to let selected users to flash Windows Phone to Mi 4 (no detailed information of it, whether user could choose to flash back or running both)

I am wondering, why Microsoft didn't let Nokia X, X+, XL, X2 user to flash Windows Phone? Microsoft used to have plan for Windows Phone with X series design, and Nokia X has reached almost 4 million pre-order in China and it has been sold out within few minutes.

With so many users on Nokia X, this is the great time to give all users a chance to have Windows Phone WITHOUT brought a Lumia (i know nokia x suck, but at least giving a chance for other to try), or let it become a dummy phone for testing, playing, finding purpose.

Nokia X with WP would become just another low end Lumia.
What would the difference be?
The only reason why Nokia X was 'popular' was because it ran Android.

As for putting WP on Android phones, it's not easy. It's not the same as installing Windows, which you can easily install any almost any PC you can find.
And at the end, why all the trouble? If someone wants a WP, he can get one for some really small amount of money.
