Windows update 8.1 killed my 925

Hi,
I installed Windows 8.1 update 1 on my Nokia 925. The install completed and all seemed to have gone well. When I came back about half an hour later my phone was completely dead. I tried holding the power button and volume + simultaneously for ten seconds as suggested on some forums but no luck. The phone is totally dead, even when I plug it into the PC it isn't recognised.
HELP please.

When doing that key combo you need to wait until the phone vibrates. This can take longer than 10 secs. I would suggest having the phone plugged in just in case the battery is low.

Leave it on charging for a couple of hours, it might turn on automatically
