wpcentral app crashing on start after 521 update

Hmmm this means something entirely different is wrong here... Which in some ways is good news. The bad news is that the only change between 4.0.9 and 4.0.10 was voice related, so now I'm pretty much stumped... Time to go and check my source control history. In the meantime you've all been granted beta access and I've responded to you in PM.

It's worth noting though that at present I don't expect the beta to work for you guys as it's basically the same code just with an experimental lock screen option and NFC sharing of articles. There will be an update hopefully late tonight when I get time to bash away at my keyboard

Hopefully you guys appreciate that I am doing everything I can here, this problem doesn't present itself on any of my test devices :( If you feel like leaving the app a good review based on the support I'm trying to provide I'd greatly appreciate it, looks like I'm getting slammed at the moment!

Jay, we have a problem.
1. I live in the Philippines. Assuming you get your work done by 12:00 AM, I'm not really of any help.
2. I accidentally sent you the wrong Live ID. I sent you the correct one in another PM.
3. If tonight (at least here in the Philippines), you manage to pull off a very slow news day, you'll turn off a lot of people (with the bug). So, do us a favor and try to pull off 25 articles. That should solve the problem (to the eyes of most readers, since they don't scroll down past the first page, anyway)

Also, could you do something about the way WPCentral is rendered on IE? I was actually forced to retreat to my laptop to post on WPCentral because it kept throwing formatting errors at me. That, and the on-screen keyboard kept on disappearing.
I understand, though, if you didn't make the website.

No worries here Jay.. this is awesome support. I've already left a great review when I first used the App on my previous Lumia 620, which had the same issue but was fixed after installing the Language Pack. I now have a new Lumia 620, but unfortunately installing the Language Pack didn't fix it this time round.

I'm honoured to be part of your BETA and look forward to future updates.

Keep up the GREAT work! :winktongue:

Have been using this app for a long time and its one of my favorites, the support and work you guys do is outstanding.
Look forward to you solving is glick..its no fun if its not a challenge!

Info..on device Nokia 720 , region Australia, English..

I won't be able to get this update through the certification process any quicker than for next week anyway unfortunately (the certification process by the way didn't find this issue either). If I can get the beta directly to you I'll be happy.

I don't make the website no but actually, you have just given me an idea. Could you guys do me a favour? Go to the website on your phone and tap an article, wait for it to load and you should see a button up top that says "Open in WPCentral app". Can you tap it and let me know if the same problem happens?

Another request for information, have you guys who are having problems installed any new firmware / OS updates recently? Just need to know what I'm up against.

Also if you have the time to take a bunch of screenshots of your settings screens and send them to me at the support address, app@wpcentral.com I'd appreciate it. There is no such thing as too many screenshots for this instance!

From your phone yeah? The button doesn't appear until the full page has loaded (it's javascript enabled unfortunately) so make sure the progress bar has finished doing it's stuff

To clarify, does it activate in the mobile or desktop version of the website?

Sorry Jay, couldn't get this working. I'm pressing the Button but nothing happens....

That's interesting, it should at the very least direct you to the store to find our app...
Press the power button and the windows/start button at the same time to take a screenshot on your device.
