Your most exciting feature you want on windows phone 8

oops. i guess i forgot that mods have to approve first and i was getting impatient so i did 3 post within the same time. my bad. technically i am old enough to drive and have a girl friend. but i don't have either right now. inner high functioning autistic mindset is getting to me i guess

but really its summer break and the forums are a great way to burn some time.
now back on topic: i demand full integration and i will have it. i put up with android for a year and a half and i wont go back to that. google does not even have a fully fledged consumer desktop os other than chrome os. so i will choose windows. the ecosystem with a complete gaming experience, home entertainment, and business solutions.
oh. come dude get a GF and drive it's fun ***. i'm driving it's fun ***. i get to go out whenever I want yo sometimes. and getting a GF is epic. you get to have fun with her...... or either you nervous with girls or you don't hang out with them or you're very geeky and focus on your work

The only thing I desperately want from Windows Phone 8 is that I can set the ringtone volume on a preferred level separate from the other volume settings and that the ringtone volume stays on that specific level no matter how much I toggle the hardware volume buttons!

Damn you Microsoft, MAKE IT HAPPEN ALREADY :@

Id like the ability to delete more than one picture at a time on my phone. I dont want to have to connect to my computer to do this. Plus, Id like to leave a copy on my computer and clear them off my phone (creating more free space)

I want my video's audio to work via bluetooth. Second, I want to be able to download videos from the marketplace. I don't understand why they don't already have that. I also want more detailed notifications on lock screen.

YES !!! Dual volume controls, one for Ringer, alarms, etc and the other for Media, games, etc.

This one of my biggest problems with WP7, I turn down the volume to Play a game (when I should not be) and I forget to put the volume back up and I miss a call or dont notice an email/text. It tends to get me in more trouble than playing the game in the first place !!!!!

This was available on Windows Mobile 6.1 and 6.5....

This is major..

Besides the other features that *they are doing* this is very important to me.

I have a few gripes with the home screen.
Am I the only person who gets a little irked by the lack of landscape support for the home screen? If you're in the messaging app and rotate, it rotates the button icons across the bottom to the correct orientation. Why not just refresh the live tiles into the new orientation?

The lack of wall paper support is another sticking point used by Android users that I agree with. I know there's all this hullababub about simplicity and such, but a basic wallpaper isnt going to destroy things for people who like that sort of thing. There is literally NO reason that this cannot be an optional feature. It couldn't take more than an a day TOPS to enable this sort of functionality. I'm sure there are some issues with background tiling as you scroll down. Simple fix for this would be to enable or disable tiling so that the background (lets say a picture) could be "docked" in the background and not capable of tiling or to enable tiling for wrapping images, which would be custom made by people and not microsoft.

People who are clamoring for more clarity on notifications will be taken care of with the new tile layouts, but there should still be a way to see recent toasts. Currently when you pull down on the start screen it squishes things down, but I would like to see they "pop" down if you drag far enough and have an small notification bar that would take up barely a quarter of the top of the screen to show recent toasts with the option of tapping to navigate to them.

Just some wishful thinking on my part. :)

I'd like to see:

* system dictionary so eBook apps can do work lookups
* a historical notification center like Android & iOS both have
* ability to delete all photos from the camera roll
* ability to delete all messaging threads at once

Can't some one make a list of everything that has been said a send it as an email to windows phones development team or something?

I would like a notification hub with EVERY notification from every app at one place and you would access it by swiping the opposite direction on the start screen.

Cobtroversial?

I know it's a controversial issue on these boards, but I'd like to see improved notifications. I'm currently using an android due to problems with my WP and for me android does notifications way better. I'm not saying WP needs to do it just like android, but I'd like to have some way of knowing which app gave me that notification when I was in another room.

Better skydrive integration would be nice too.

Why is it contraversial?.. I agree that notifications ,,, seperate notifications is a must!
Do other people not like that option?

Before Windows Phone, I was a WebOS user. The things I want on Windows Phone are things that were implemented very well on WebOS:

1) Backup/Restore of your Phone

Everything you downloaded was stored in a database online and when you replaced your phone, every app downloaded automatically to your phone upon first reboot. Nothing manual had to be done. And with the addition of Preware (those WebOS Internals guys were SO. DAMN. AWESOME!) I could backup app settings. Everything was streamlined. Loved it.

2) Notifications

We at least need a notifications hub. WebOS had swiping gestures to control notification interfacing. I loved this feature as well. A hub of some sorts for Windows Phone would go a long way.

3) Multitasking

This was WebOS's killer feature. Their cards interface allowing fast-app switching was top notch. And every card retained any information at any given moment. Typing a text message but need to refer to a website for information? Swipe up gesture from the text message card, change your active card to the browser, search your information, swipe up gesture from the browser card, and select the message card to continue typing your text from where you left off. Simple, effective, beautiful. I'm not saying Windows Phone should emulate the cards interface, but definitely make use of the true multitasking.

4) And more customization

Let people do what they want with their phones. Give them more options, and let the devs interface with more API's to provide users with more options. The more freedom, the better.

I am surprised no one has mentioned Multi-People messaging. I hate getting a mass text from someone on an iPhone and then not knowing who else is on it.

I would like to be able to see who else sent it and then get the choice of reply or reply all.

Honestly one of the biggest things for me is screenshot support. Does anyone know if this is in the leaked SDK? Word on the street is camera button + start button.

windows phone 8 brings everything i felt it was missing.

im mostly excited for multi-processor Support, SD card support, native skype and video calling, multitasking, side-loading of apps, video codecs, bluetooth, customization for the lock screen.

Not a Windows Phone user yet, although I should be given that I've been 'hip' to this OS since July 2010, but other than another fantastic design by Nokia, I really only want two features that I currently like in Symbian:

FM Transmitter: Yes, I can use the aux line, or BT streaming for my music; but I once rented a vehicle (a 2012 model) that DID NOT have BT or an aux in jack! Fortunately, I had the FM Transmitter - all I had to do was find an open FM station, enter that frequency into my phone, and voila...music to my ears for the entire 5 hour trip!

Profiles: Basically, this is a preset list of ringtone/messaging/video call parameters that you set for Normal circumstances, Meetings, etc., and you can set different tones and volumes for each.

Again, other than a beautifully designed device, and Pureview, I think WP pretty much has what I will find to have a satisfying mobile experience.

What is ur most excitin feature you want in wp8?
Mine is customization
I think it would be pretty cool if u cud swipe down from the top of ur screen and have the lock screen come down, kinda like when ur shutting down ur device except it displays everything it would normally display on the lock screen(time, date, notifications...)
I think that would be a cool notification center since they enhanced the lock screen to sort of be a notification center

What I miss the most from Windows Mobile is the ability to download and save a file from e-mail. I do alot of work on pretty remote jobsites. I could receive AutoCAD drawings via e-mail, save them to my phone, and transfer to my laptop via bluetooth or USB. From there I could work on the drawings, copy back to the phone, and send out via e-mail. I really hope I can do that again with Windows Phone 8.
