Brave man to start melting plastic on an expensive device... so. Pictures of how you pulled it off? Went with the 950XL because I need two SIMs active. But if you can show how to do this I might go to Swappa right now.

I melted the chip from the plastic of the sim card and glued it to the sd card, carefully inserted it, wiggling it slightly while inserting it, and it worked

Nice, so I don't have an X3 and haven't looked at that, but you may have just pushed me over to making the purchase. Nice trick, glad it worked.

i still played with my 950 because of that, and the micro SD card Still fits In the slot for the Lumia 950. And I only used enough glue that I can possibly take the SIM card off the SD card. If I need too.

Awesome!

I was wondering if this method would actually work and now that solves a massive dilemma on my part.

With HP reaffirming that they are standing behind the elite x3, the X3 may most likely be the next phone I upgrade to from my L930.
@jimmy zamalot.

What connection speeds do you get on the msd card / sim combo?

idk know how to check the speed, the second sim card is just some cricket sim card, I took my sons phone away and got him a gizmo pal watch he calls from now, but everything has been working fine, I love this phone, it does what I need and I don't use many social media apps.

There is a speedtest.net app in the store that can check do bear in mind that app can burn through your data allowance and at the top it should say what you are connected as i.e 2g / E for Edge / H for HSPDA / H+ HSPDA or 4G or 4G LTE
