Not surprisingly it's the same ambassador that had an issue with my actions on a thread last weekend. Talked with Laura and Palandri about it, sent him a pleasant PM and he still was unhappy.
I think he just isn't sure what he wants to do now.
In a way, it's kind of like how I had been. CB didn't have Ambassadors, and I still don't think it does. If anyone knows me from CB, I was a very dedicated defender of BB for quite some time. The turning point for me was when I was out of contract and waiting for BB10, which was supposed to arrive early 2012 according to the deposed co-CEOs of BB. I had passed on the BB7 devices, since I was waiting for BB10 (coming soon--like everything those CEOs promised) and also knew that the 9900 had a crappy camera and BB7 still got black hourglass of death.
During this time, I belonged to a BBM group that actually included some mods from CB (and several other folks who were similar to me in terms of knowledge of unbricking/installing hybrid OS/shrinking OS/other technical stuff). I expressed my concerns with them privately via BBM and refrained from posting my issues on the public forums. I almost went Android--I believe AC was the second Mobile Nations site I joined--I asked a few questions on the forums, but mainly privately asked, since some of the people in the BBM group also had Androids.
My last straw came when my mom wanted to know when one of her favorite TV shows which had been on hiatus would return. I told her I'd check online. Well, the BB froze up with the spinning black clock of death when I opened the browser and wouldn't do a thing. I did a battery pull, and the BB took over 5 minutes to reboot. I wanted to throw it across the room! I told my mom I'd check using my PC browser when I got home, which I did. My mom is not technical in the least and uses a feature phone, but she thought the BB was bad.
Then I saw CES 2012 and the Nokia Lumia 900. I knew that's what I'd be getting and pretty much laid low on CB from that point on (took almost 4 months from CES to AT&T release date). The funny thing is I used to have in my CB profile "PM for PIN". I got a PIN request the very last day I used BB. I replied to the person who requested my PIN that I was leaving. The next day I got my Nokia Lumia 900, and now I pretty much only post in off topic on CB when I am there.
