Dream Windows Phone?

Amoled has crappy colors, but it makes glance screen power efficient.

I'm always jelly of my wifes 720, it fits perfectly in my hand, and the battery is amazing.
I guess all I want is a 720 with 41MP camera and 2GB RAM of course to support the camera. No SD card (there's just trouble with it) I'd rather opt for 64GB built-in storage.
I don't care much for resolution, 480p is enough, but I wouldn't say no to 768p as long as it doesn't affect the battery.

Really the only reason I went for the 925 is PureView. It's still an awesome phone though. Only complaints are kinda short battery and displayed whites are very blue.

DREAM PHONE

- Lumia 1020's 41 Camera
- Lumia 928 LED/Xenon Flash
- 32GB Internal Storage
- 5.5" Screen
- SAR less than 1.0
- Ability to run two apps side-by-side on screen
- Built in physical slider keyboard
- USB port on side
- Headphone jack on top
- Speakers on front
- Mini-screen on back (self-picture (selfie, if you must) assistance)
- N900-esque Lens/Flash cover/hump or Lumia 820 camera/flash look (strip across top of back)

:winktongue:

This is way out there, but..... I'd be all over this.

Full Win 8/8.1 Pro (Win 9 Pro)
4 GB RAM
32 GB storage / SSD HD
4-4.5" display, HD or not.
USB 3 for connection to docking station (external monitors, keyboard, mouse, drives)
SD slot
Removable battery
20MP or so camera, HD Video recording
+ all other usual connectivity options

This^^^^....but 5.5" screen.....bigger battery....

- Lumia 1020's 41 Camera
-Xenon Flash
- 32GB Internal Storage
- 5.4" Screen
- 3 GB of RAM
- Ability to run two apps side-by-side on screen

I love my Lumia 920. The form factor, the whole 9. I would love it if Microsoft would push out a Lumia 920 "Enhanced" with Windows 8.1 and just a few more horses then the current model has. Same 32 gig of memory and 2 gigs of ram. Improved camera, QI support etc. I would get one and be happy. I'm not finding anything so far that has made a move for me.

925 Body
2 GB ram
20 MP camera
4.5 -5.0 screen size (1080p of course)
on screen navigation controls
Quad band Radios
MicroSD support
once it has a Micro SD card minimum internal storage to be 16 GB would be fine

That's all I ask am modest :)

You got it!
5" screen, 1080, Micro SD.
I can't believe they don't make it yet... the 1520 has a micro SD, but 6" is way to big for my pocket.
Why don't they let the micro sd in the windows phones? it was there with the 820... then none in the 925, 920... 1520 has it, but not the icon... Strange?

- N9500 Communicator Form Factor
- L925 materials used
- PureView Camera, any Megapixels

I just want a lumia with physical/tactile keys.

  • Lumia 1520 shape, size of the 920 with a 5" 1080p AMOLED display squeezed into the frame
  • 41MP Pureview sensor w/ Xenon flash; films in 4K and can burst-shoot at least 20MP images/live HDR
  • Qualcomm 800 series processor (quad-core)
  • 2GB of RAM
  • SD slot, 32GB-64GB of internal storage
  • Headphone jack ON THE BOTTOM

4.5 to 5 inches, preferably some aluminum, high-end specs, the headphone jack staying on top (just referring to the previous post ;-) ), a good camera (without caring about MP, that's so early 2000s and I thought we got over it).

Most importantly however: Windows Phone 8.1.

I'd love the Microsoft/Nokia buyout to yield a "shrunk-in-the-wash Surface"-style phone with 1520-specs but a sensible screen size; black VaporMg body, angular edges. Running WinPho 8.1 preferably, or I could live with maybe some phone-oriented version of RT.

^ they would sell a metric f**ktonne of these. I guess the metal shell would rule out wireless charging though!

Agreed, only thing is, I would reduce the bezel size significantly. Otherwise it's a great design

Dream windows phone eh ? Let me see...

I would like something of a mix of the Lumia 1020 and the Lumia Icon. Meaning ? Something with a 5' screen, together with that 41MP monster of a camera and most importantly, a 3xxx mAh battery ! Yeah ! I don't really mind the screen or the processor, as long as it works well for me can already. But my dream windows phone would be something like the specs i mentioned above !!

All Verizon ICON features with.. 64gb, MicroSD support and HDMI out but, with a slimer package size like the 925....and double the battery (3-5 days with heavy use with out needing to charge would be a dream)

Out of what is there, I think that would be the perfect phone for me, plenty of storage with all the current options. 5" display is about the largest I will go, as I think 6"+ is getting into the tablet range and it's hard to keep in a pocket (or get unconfortable to carry).

64gb will give plenty of storage for 90% of the cases but, if I want to add 50gb of music, or 100 movies, I have the option. Right now most of my 32gb is filled with apps and it leaves me about 8gb, not enough for music in my eyes

Size would be about as small as the 520, but the build quality would be like that of the 820 (albeit a little boxier)

1020 camera/Xenon flash.

2 column screen (not a big fan of the 3 column design).

64GB on storage with expandable memory; 2GB RAM.

Beats Audio as an option.

Color options: red, cyan, crimson, silver, green, yellow, purple, magenta, and gold (possibly similar to the 2nd gen iPod Mini's pastel theme).

I liked my HTC Trophy, minus the abominable camera.
I love my 928, a memory card slot and working FM radio would be nice.
I also have a 520, the amazing slight size and weight, and the performance especially compared to the Trophy is incredible.
I do like the lighter weight. Seeing that consumers have shoehorned Qi into the 925, makes me appreciate the light weight idea.

I think the ideal would be something in the the 4.5" screen range -- it's already borderline size for reaching the upper corner when one handing it. All the extras -- FM radio, xenon flash with LED for video and focus, microSD slot for expansion, all the Nokia features like Glance, double-tap to wake, etc. Qi charging built in. Choice of top notch AMOLED or LCD screen online. Metal band exterior design. Micro-USB plug on the top. Micro-SIM or nano-SIM including an adapter to go back to micro-SIM and a SIM cutter. Should have WP8.1 for the best chance of being competitive. While I would love the monster 1020-like camera, if they could pull off a great ~20-30 mp camera with great low light ability that would work. The screen should be made of transparisteel and the plastic portion made of flubber.

I think that would work for me.

Icon Design
Icon Size
Icon Weight
Icon Storage
Icon Display
Icon Processor
Icon RAM
Icon Camera
ALL Icon
I love ICON
But no ICON for all the countries

I would want Motorola to make a Windows Phone Moto X, same processor and all. Find a way to get Active Display working on it and I'm sold.
