Today's situation seems much more competitive in India, one of the strong markets of windowsphone. Problem is majority of people who are first smartphone buyers consider the entry level budget smartphones with high specs .only few people want to try different OS. Some consider cheap Chinese smartphones like xiaomi, lenovo, moto, coolpad etc and Huawei which may increase further android market and some other side samsung with tizen os and with value phones like grandmax&galaxy j series. It seems no windowsmobile from Samsung. Then htc ??? No plans for midrange except one or two flagships comes from htc . So all top brands are focusing on android and what will be the result of windowsmobile share despite Microsoft's commitment and few devices like xolo win or micromax win . Will the come back of value midrange htc smartphones and other manufacturers help to the rise of windowsmobile in india??? One side e-commerce gaints such as flipkart promoting chinese phones whereas snapdeal promoting intex with jolla os . Then blackberry coming with Android. What u all say about this?

MS is first focusing on low cost entry devices (with good specs) so people who buy the first phone start with a windows phone.
And as you say people do not want to change OS so if they used to windows OS the next phone also will be a windows phone.
So if the first phone is a low cost windows phone, and they like it, the next will also be a windows phone which could be a higher spec (more expensive one) .
And if there are "enough" people who want to buy (higher spec) windows phones other companies will see this and also want to profit from this demand and start making Windows phone.

But then again this strategy is also used by other companies and only time can tell which way it will go.

Ya me too went to the shop to buy android phone but in last minute i changed my mind on seeing lumia 525 . My first smartphone
