Oh yes, I just discovered that double tap to wake is already here. Thanks!

BTW will activating it use a lot of battery?

Personally, I never really noticed much difference in battery life when using it. Some seem to experience more battery drain than others, but for me, nothing too obvious at all. I've been using it for months now and would miss it if I disabled it :)

Really? And what awesome you see in it? Personally I see the work, which could be done in one week. A few useful features and nothing awesome. IMHO

Here in Switzerland, aa of Feb 1 2014 my HTC 8S, 8X and Samsung Ativ S are now all on GDR3. Well HTC delivered in November 2013 and Samsung February 1st 2014. Quite a big improvement.

Could someone answer why in about on my 8x the os version shows as 8.0.10501.127 and have just updated my sons 520 and it shows 8.0.10517.150. Surely the os should be the same on both regardless to the additions that Nokia put on there? The reason i say this as i have noticed on my sons 520 at the top of the wifi icon there is a little arrow pointing away from the phone!!!

The OS version can differ on a lot of models. It can currently be one of four different versions, 8.0.10501.127, 8.0.10512.142, 8.0.10517.150, or 8.0.10521.155. Microsofts update history page states that "Your update version number depends on your specific phone model and mobile operator." So I would say it's perfectly normal to see both phones on different versions. I'm on a different OS version to my Dad's Lumia for example. You probably won't notice any difference between either of them in terms of usable features though :)

The little icon on top of the WiFi symbol is just a data transfer indicator. This appears to be present on some peoples phones and not others. I'm not sure what the requirement is, as some people with the same model of phone have the indicators and some don't.

Any idea what is size of GDR3+Nokia Black update? I mean I wanted to know how much data is consumed when we update Nokia Lumia from Amber update to GDR3+Black.

So let me get this straight. GDR3 doesn't really allow you to make custom tones from the settings menu? It only gives certain apps the ability to have a custom tone for their notifications??

GDR3 allows you to have custom tones for text messages, instant messages, emails, voicemail, and reminders. You're correct in that you can't make these from the settings menu, you just assign them from the settings menu. To make a custom ringtone, I just use Nokia Ringtone Maker if I want part of a song for a ringtone. Or just use a ringtone app and download whichever tone you'd like, then just assign them from the settings menu.
