Group 2 Pictures In Word Touch On A Surface 2

I'm new here, it's my first post. Please help me.

I bought a Surface 2 tablet mainly to use with microsoft word. And one of the main tasks i'm doing on it requires to group several pictures in one group. But i could not do this since there is no way to select two photos at once with the touch functions.

Can someone show me a way to successfully group pictures with word touch?

To multi-select images/objects/shapes try this: Tap and hold the first image with one hand to keep it selected, then use your other hand to tap and select the rest of the images in turn.

Have you tried it and it worked?! Because by me it hasn't worked.

I remember trying it with objects/shapes in PowerPoint and it worked, but haven't tried it with images in Word yet.

In PowerPoint i saw on many places that it is working, But in word not
