I contacted AT&T and they said Cricket phones need to be unlocked to use on AT&T. I don't know Cricket's policy regarding how long, if at all, one must be a customer before they'll unlock a device.
Yeah I know it's weird that unlock is required, since Cricket is an AT&T MVNO.

I'm assuming the B&H model is the US variant, but it's difficult to tell without having a list of the variants for each country.
What I want to know is, what are the advantages to buying the phone unlocked instead of directly through Tmo? Will I get OS updates faster? Will Wi-Fi calling still work?
Bad News. Tmobile just tweeted 7/16 as the release date. I can't post the link because I'm new.

I really hope that it isn't July, and thank you for tweeting at them. There's nothing in the wording that indicates it was a followup tweet. The different signatures indicate it was simply two different Tmoble peons replying.
In addition, if it were a mistake, they would have deleted the tweet which so far they haven't. So my money is on 7/16, which is lame since that means it's been "coming soon" for 4 months.

I tweeted back to John Legere that it's basically embarrassing that they're getting bested by Cricket Wireless like this. It's not like there's an exclusivity deal in place.
