Seriously considering the Expansys USA deal also.
The price was down 10 dollars to $209 from $219...

I just know seconds after I'd buy this it will pop for a lower price...happens to me every time I fall.

Also there's another member reporting in my "L640 DS available on Expansys USA" thread saying he's having difficulty with the phone on T-Mobile.
The member purchased the RM-1113 from an E-Bay seller however.

Yeah the fact that it was from Ebay is giving me hope maybe the "real" Expansys one works ok. Will wait for an answer.

$200 for this phone? No thanks, that's at least $50 too much, maybe $100!

I don't understand why Microsoft isn't at least selling an unlocked version for around $150 in the U.S. store by now. They would sell a boatload of them. Especially with them promoting it as first in line to get Windows 10 for phones. We all know that's not happening with the T-mobile version especially if they can't even get it ready for sale.

The price will be between 50 - 99 dollars according to microsoftstore.
Just do a search for 640 and look on the left side.

When I do that search now, it shows up in the 100-149 filter. Not the greatest of news. Was hoping it would be around $110 or so and got exited at the $89. Now I am fearing it'll be $149... if it EVER comes out that is. Hilarious that mods closed the other thread about US availability with a "most likely coming very shortly" comment. That's like a kiss of death jinx when T-Mo is concerned.

I always thought the $89 seemed too low. The "good" news in all this is that if they've adjusted the price on the MS site it likely means that it's moving forward and getting closer to reality. And even if it's $149, it's still a pretty good value for the phone.

I don't think I can justify the extra money to buy from Expansys instead of waiting a few more weeks. Plus, I really want the WiFi calling (which I'm guessing the unlocked phone won't have) for one reason: since T-Mobile lets you text for free on the GoGo inflight wifi, I'd like to try it. The problem is that you have to have WiFi calling enabled and have to made at least one call over WiFi (so the instructions said). I couldn't do it with my M8 since it doesn't support WiFi calling. I doubt we'll ever see the alleged update TMO promised to enable it because I suspect that phone was such a bust for them it's probably not worth the effort. Just my speculation, but I'd be surprised.

That's where I'm at also
Wi-Fi calling is kind of a must at our house.
(unlocked phones on T-Mobile have no Wi-Fi calling feature)

I wouldn't be so antsy if my 535 would come home from repair.
It's been gone for over 5 weeks now.
My 925 is hanging in there I just want the larger screen and LTE guaranteed.

For those not on TMobile who require an unlocked 640 - I think the price on Expansys is fine. If I was on Tmobile myself I would've waited for the official release here in the US instead.

Plus its nice to have a dual sim capable phone. Don't see those too often here in the states, and it can come in handy, especially when travelling outside the US - don't have to worry about swapping out sim cards.

I'll give it 2 more weeks I guess.
Curious to see what Expansys drops the price to if the 640's show on T-Mo and AT&T.

I would think it will come down some more. Guess it's all how much the premium is for an unlocked phone.

Just searched for "640" again on the Microsoftstore website again today and the price range is now up to $100-$149 (up from the previous range of $50 - $99). This is more in line with what I was expecting for this phone. Maybe this is a sign that MS is syncing up their own prices with T-Mobile in preparation for release. (One can hope, right?)

I saw that too. Really bummed me out. But maybe it will be cheaper on MetroPCS. Saw some person there had said a price of $99.

IMO unlocked 640 for $100 would be a steal. Unlocked for $150 is about the right price. $200 is way high.

If the 640 ends up being $150 locked then the current $50 for the 635 seems like a pretty good deal in comparison. I'm just going to get my wife one of those. If the 640 comes out during the 30 day return period I might switch.

Aww, man, so the 640 may actually not be out on T-Mobile until June?? That really bums me out. I had my heart set on getting one of them in time for my trip to Utah for a wedding I'm going to; leaving on May 21st and I was sure it would be available by then. :unhappy: I may just end up using the iPhone 5S I got off of eBay back in February so I'll have a bit more room for photos than my 925 currently has available. Or maybe I should just use my old 920 for the helluvit.

05/15th it is... on reddit was a post that Cricket Wireless will get the 640 for 129 USD.

Thanks for the info siggi200. How can I find the link? Or could you post it (without the www., since you have fewer than 10 posts)? Thanks again.
