Yeah it still works, i just tried it myself and it works.

After installing App Folder (and soon after deleting it) i changed region to Australia and the proxy still worked.

I was tempted to try MC4, but i don't wish to risk losing my phone.

You can bet that Microsoft are monitoring this "hack" and when they eventually close it off they WILL remove them from your phones!!!!!

doubt it. Microsoft is slow with Windows Phones and I sincerely doubt they will remove it from phones. They have the resources to do so, but this has ONLY been done once. And that was because someone cracked a paid GPS app and uploaded it for free.

Depends. If this helps to sell more Windows Phones because people can get goodies from other mf's, than I doubt MS will care. In fact, they want people to buy Windows Phones so if this helps...

Anyway, thanks for the trick! Installed a few apps on my Lumia 720 and on my mum's Lumia 820.

What? I'm not sure I get your point. An opinion doesn't have to be stated as fact to be wrong. Example: I'm of the opinion, that if I speed on my way to work tomorrow, that I won't get a citation. Now, I may pan out to be correct, but all it takes for me to be wrong, is one cop, at the right place, at the right time. There was certainly nothing factual about my statement, and I didn't present it as factual, yet it can easily be proven to have been a wrong opinion. An opinion, by its nature, is a belief or feeling based in estimation (a lack of proof) and can very often be wrong.

I didn't mean that stating an opinion as a fact was the only way for it to be wrong I was just using it as an example of one way it can be wrong. I said that because Neo158's opinion was that it's a "fact that it's a terms of use violation" which could be wrong.

Ahh, I get it.

I've got Samsung's "App Folder" on my Lumia 822 and it's a great addition, I got it on the same day as my GDR2/Amber update was installed and like I got a new phone.

I also downloaded Nokia "Pro Cam" and after using it a while, I wouldn't recommend this. Basically if Nokia won't let you download it without this work around it's not worth it, because it seems to work fine at first but aside from adding a shutter speed setting it doesn't improve anything. Videos seemed fine when I was recording them but when I went to view them afterwards, I found that they skipped, glitched and pixelated.

LOVE U MAN!!! SCOOPED ALL OF THE APPS!

But not without some issues:

1. The HTC Weather is just a white/blank window. I can see the weather, i.e Temperature and all that, but no animation.

2. The HTC Flashlight isn't working

3. The Pro Cam app asks for an update on my 720...but I am assuming once the GDR2 comes, this will be sorted...? Right?

Correct. Pro Cam will be enabled with the update.

I have tried this trick on my Lumia 820 as I really need Samsung's mobile print app, but that one just refuses to become available? Other apps do, just not the only one I want. I bought a nice Samsung printer, I really don't get why Samsung would put these problems on their own customers like this.

Has anyone managed to make this work with the Samsung mobile print app? If so, please tell me how.

I like the app folder app in theory. With 32GB storage (or more), there's room for a ton of apps on WP8 devices. You either end up with too many live tiles, making battery management essential (if you turn off background processes, what good is a live tile?) or you end up swiping and navigating an obscenely long list of apps.

So app folder is a good idea. It's just...ugly. At the risk of starting a ****** argument, I wish Nokia had designed it instead of Samsung.
