On my 822 with developer preview, Denim was pushed out without my needing to do anything, so it may be the same thing with Icon.

No, just uncheck the box within the dev preview app and check for update.

I think you missed the memo on the 822 and 928 got denim on Friday, Dec 19, 2014.

The Icon is going to get it early 2015.

I understand that you think my message was clueless, but not how you reached that conclusion nor what point you hoped to make.

I was saying that VZ may do with Icon just what they did with the 822. My 822, which died last week, had developer preview, and then updated all by itself to Denim back in December. I now have an Icon, but I won't bother with DP this time because I think the upgrade will come soon enough.

No one said you were clueless, since windows central posts alot of news during the week you may have missed the announcement.

Also alot of people come into this thread saying they have denim but its the Extras+Info bug.

Of course VZ will give the icon Denim just like the 822, but that is due in February.

The firmware is basically a bios update in computer terms. Not really dependent on the os other then to run the executable to install and flash the chips. Qualcomm taking forever again it seems.

Well, I keep posting on this thread that Verizon won't push the updates to the ICON. Just won't happen ever. Not this month, not next not ever. Now, why do I say this? It is just a gut feeling that I have. After all this time, I just don't see why Verizon will bother. We all know they hate Windows Phone, and probably not a fan of Microsoft either. We can probably forget about a Flagship Windows 10 phone on Verizon as well.
