Person of interest thread

The member "switch side method" is something else.

Loves to argue
PM's me it wasn't his fault
Continues to argue

Wondering if he can comprehend what he reads.
Recommended he use the report button (again) if he has problems.
He continues to fight or name call in some of his on-going threads.
A few of his threads were closed out due to arguing and some of his spitting comments have been deleted by me.

I have advised him to:
  • Not argue if he doesn't appreciate a response.
  • Read his replies thoroughly before submitting.
  • Know what he's talking about in his replies.
  • Don't go off topic anymore by arguing.
  • Walk away when mad.
  • Use the report button.

Well meaning member I think...just very difficult to drive points home to this one.
ugh...

Please report his PM if he keeps arguing. Perhaps he needs a vacation to calm down.

Got him unstuck from the ceiling finally.
He even sent an apology to the member he was arguing with.
Looks like both of these guys don't want to get anywhere near a ban.
Hopefully this is the end of it.

Banned member mickydale returned as mickydale76 which I've also just banned. Keep an eye out if/when he returns again which he most likely will. Also nabbed tgp with a trolling infraction (finally).

Member salmanahmad I believe is baiting and pushing Android to incite arguments.
I'm seeing other users reporting him and challenging in threads.

Warned him once.
He's trying to be cleverly polite yet is still pushing it and deflecting threads that seems to be upsetting others.

Micah Dawson has been trolling the HTC One (M8) for Windows forum. I sent him the following PM.

Hi Micah,

I realize you are partial to the Nokia/Microsoft devices and don't like HTC. However, I think it would be best for you to just ignore that forum. I'm not issuing any infractions at this time, but your constant negative comments about that device in the forums specifically devoted to it could be considered trolling/flame baiting.

If you do not care for a post, there is no need to respond. Move along! Move along!
Thanks!

Please avoid those types of posts, otherwise we will not have any choice but to issue infractions.

In another PM, I told him that if he wants to do a comparison of devices, he should start a thread in the Phone Wars forum. I also posted a general warning to the Community here.

Please infract him if he does not listen.

I just sent a PM to Salmanahmad. I don't think this guy is trying to be a troll. I think he's just a Google fan that wants to defend his favourite company, so I wanted to give him fair warning before becoming more strict, as his posts often tend to derail threads:

Hello Salmanahmad

You apparently feel it necessary to defend your favourite company, and while there is nothing wrong with that, it is wrong when it derails most of the threads you participate in.

You are similarly biased and opinionated in your pro-Google ways, as many of the anti-Google people here at WPC, and although your statements won't garner much attention over at AC, many members at WPC will find your comments disagreeable and hard to ignore. Just as you can't ignore statements against Google. Same thing.

There are obviously one or two Google related topics that are very close to your heart. You are welcome to create your own threads to discuss specifically those issues. By doing so you could save us mods a lot of work, as we won't be required to crack down on derailed threads, and you may also save yourself many unnecessary infractions.

There is nothing wrong with sharing your opinion here at WPC, we welcome it, but the derailing must stop.

I'm writing this because I will be less lenient on future posts of yours, that aren't directly related to the thread topic. I don't want to ban you, and I wanted to explain that it's not your message, but how you force your message into every thread, regardless of topic, that is the problem. Fix that and you'll be fine.

Andreas,

That's excellent!

I agree with you. I do not think Salmanahmad is a troll either. His posts are intelligent, and he makes some good points.

The issues are mainly due to the fact that he derails threads by taking them off topic. If he wishes to discuss Google/Android, there are plenty of threads which would be suitable, especially in the Phone Wars forum (or he might even start his own thread there).

The problem I have with him is that he derails too many threads and causes them to be closed, due to his off topic posts.

If he learns where to post, I see no problem with him.

^ I got a lengthy and apologetic PM from him. He understands, and states he'll try to refrain from such tactics from now on. I hope he does. If not, we need not feel as bad as I otherwise would have. ;-)

http://forums.windowscentral.com/members/ag-vk.htm has received a PM from me and I have deleted several of his posts on this thread:

Very rude and obviously just shooting to pick fights. I am going to delete a few responses simply because I see no reason to allow his quoted posts to remain on BeeMon's thread. I sent a PM to those whose responses I deleted as well explaining why,

Good work Mutt!
This guy has been very brutal.

Any obvious reason why?

Ummm.... Pushed off the monkey bars on the playground? I haven't a clue why anyone acts this way on the internet. Unhappiness, and this is a safe way to blow off steam.

I just pinch my dog. It's okay, she is part Pit Bull. She see's it as playing. And she bites back, tail wagging. And always wins.

Stupid pooch.

Starting to watch D M C. It seems every thread he is on lately, he is pushing it into an OS VS. OS debate.

Good morning everyone (a.k.a good afternoon or good evening or good night in other parts of the world)!

AG VK has been at it again. Normally I would have infracted just one of those posts and simply deleted the other, but since you already warned him, I infracted both.

I've always had trouble with AG VK's tone, but it seems to be getting worse. Going forward I won't be closing one or both eyes any longer, but infracting at any opportunity he gives us.

I agree, he's a bad egg and seems to believe that his use of arrogance and language makes him look important and mature.
