Person of interest thread

Saw that.
You beat me to it...
Like Laura and Branta noted all he had to do was wait out the original 3 days off.

Must really need his WPC fix.
Very sad when this is all you have to do.

Aaand he came back again as Nokia Lumia3 - he's gone again. He was also Vaibhavrocks123!

Okay......Lumia Nine, Nokia Lumia3, Vaibhavrocks123.....

Is it possible to stalk a website?

This dude is creeping me out.

By the way, Karthik Naik and salmanahmad both responded to me and apologized for getting rude on the thread. Both promised to cool it down.

What's the old joke...
Buttkicking contest with a one legged man.

We're here all day too...well some of us are anyhoo

He (Saruman) came back as Lumia Nine and now he's gone again - I wonder what his motivation is here?

Oops, wait a minute. With Saruman I was referring to *goes to look up real name* Salmanahmad, not S Vaibhav.

I consider both of these guys equally, lets say, passionate, but I don't think they are beyond hope. At least not yet. Salmanahmad (I'll probably go back to Saruman in my next post) is the guy I think we need to be more strict with. If he wants to recommend Android, he should probably use AC as the platform for doing so. It's not completely wrong to do so at WPC, but the temper tantrums he occasionally starts are a pain to deal with.

Gave psoham77 a formal warning for disruptive posting and infracted salmanahmad for disruptive posting again, fuelling the useless 1020 argument in that now closed thread.

He came back as VaibhavRocks221, I just banned him again.

He's pretty tenacious!
I notice he hits PM sometimes when he creates a new username.
He might be hitting up friends to help him knock Salman's postings.

psoham777 seems to still argue with Salman.
He's being cautious however...and of course Salman is compelled to rebut every challenge.
These guys are just turning certain threads into 2 person battles of links and graphs.

Obviously many members are tiring of it and staying away.

Ahhh thank goodness there Muessig!
I was just headed to that thread to do the same.

Hmmm...
My mistake.
For some reason AE here was showing them posting from the same PC.

Perhaps that's the fault of DHCP. I remember when I had AT&T as my ISP. I got my emails sent to one friend in Boston who has Verizon as his ISP blocked as spam (he and I both used broadband, not mobile).

I kept getting my IP addresses whitelisted by Verizon by contacting them. The running joke was how many IPs I still had left to get whitelisted, which I knew, since I was taking a networking course at the time, so I knew the number in the class AT&T used.

It ended up that I switched from AT&T to Time-Warner, and the Verizon blacklisting stopped. It sure was annoying, though, for about a month.

Most consumer ISPs in the US use dynamic IP addresses. If one wants a static IP, he needs to get a business Internet account (and pay extra for a static IP).

I had a DHCP mix up that caused an incoming e-mail misdirect when I first signed up with Comcast after having Worldnet.
Opened my new Comcast e-mail the morning after my service started and my inbox kept filling with a blanket message from the Utah State board of education.

I had 14000 messages before Comcast.net could stop it....had to change my main account name.
No e-mail service for me for two days or so.
Crazy stuff...

Yikes! That's crazy. I only had issues with emails sent to one contact, and I thought that was bad. No emails at all for two days would be a nightmare.

I'd think a state Board of Education would have a static IP. :unhappy:

This happened about 10 years ago...

It was something to do with the e-mail name I picked.
"Tool-time"@comcast
The board of educations generic outgoing address for all the schools was the same.
Comcast evidently allowed me to use that for my main account.

I think it happened because 2 Comcast guys set me up and had technical account access or something.
I remember they were having a little bit of trouble with my account set-up.
When they left they said I would have to wait till morning for my e-mail to work so I didn't try till then LOL.

Home Improvement! I loved that show.

When I switched from AT&T to Time-Warner back in 2009, the Time-Warner guy stuck around until I logged in and verified that everything worked properly. He was really good and professional. He even stuck the cable under the carpet, so it looked good and wouldn't cause any tripping issues. Maybe I was lucky, but I got a good cable guy.
