Must have done. I must admit some guy drew my attention to my unprofessional behaviour on the blog too (after becoming a mod as well) so gonna nip that in the bud.

One of our new ambassadors had a rude/snarky comment in one of the blogs. Hopefully just having a bad day. If I notice it again I'll mention it to Dave. Can't be doing that if you are going to represent the staff.

I have a sneaky suspicion that he may be responsible for our problem where we've had to replace the bulbs after someone decided to Hit the Lights.

That didn't read English to me at all OR it has some internal slangs poured into that I have no idea about. Hit the lights - was some user who caused issues in blog comments - that's all I know!

Hiiiiiii has been passport banned , as far as "Hit the Lights " and the many variations. I think the editors are taking care of him. We don't have the authority to do it yet unless they also post in the forums, however some of the worst members post exclusively on the front page so its a policy that I think needs to be changed.

The comments on that blog post have gotten out of hand.

I'm a conservative, not a liberal, but I have no issues with Al Jazeera. I think it's a good site, and the racist comments are terrible.

On a related note, I had a BBM chat with a guy from Kuwait on the day that Bin Laden was killed. We chatted while the news was going down. He also posted on Twitter thanking the Americans and he denounced terrorists.

The posters making those racist remarks are a bunch of imbeciles. There are good people and bad people of all races, nationalities and religions.

Why would you do that? This is not a good thing. I don't care what is in the comments it is not our job to moderate the comments! If you see something you are to report it to James. I have always supported what you do but I cant support you breaking our own rules.

This post looks worse than the PM you sent me. I was just really heated over it and thought none of the EICs were up to take care of that user. Full answer is in the PM, I didn't delete any of the comments.. Lo siento mucho, won't happen ever again.

Thanks brow just do it again. As always the offending member remains banned I will publicly support your actions.

I want you all to understand where this comes from. We used to have moderator privileges way back and one of my team deleted some comments that Daniel wanted to respond to. It was decided at that time to remove those privileges. Only now are we getting them back. Daniel might have decided that replying to the races comments and embarrassing or shaming the person might have been a better way to handle the situation. He has a way of doing things like that he is good at it. What ever happens with the front page comments it will not be our decision so do not remove anything from comments unless it is spam.
