Phone non responsive... anyone else?

I have the 822 on Verizon for about 9 days now. About 4 or 5 times, I've pulled my phone out of my pocket and it's been completely non-responsive. Screen won't turn on and won't even restart by holding down the "on" button. I have to pull the battery and restart the phone. My daughter has the same phone and hasn't had it happen to her.

I've seen the articles and threads about the random reboots, but this isn't it. I also haven't had any problems with it locking up while in apps. Just completely "dead" when I try to use it.

Anybody else had this problem?
 
I would take the phone back. You've got a lemon.

Kind of what I was thinking but I wanted to see if anyone else had the problem in case it was an OS issue.
 
You could try letting the battery run all the way flag so it powers down. Then recharge and see if it revives.

was this a hard/factory reset that it was recovering from?
