I assume the latency is because of the layoff that took place a few days ago, both the company (M$ & Nokia) are still getting settled into, before they start their work.. But if the August month passes by & still if they don't get their $H1T together, than.. I can vouch.. Microsoft will be a HAS-BEEN soon in mobile race.

I mean the layoffs for next year I thought. Seems like plenty of time to roll an update out swiftly

It is now seriously becoming irritating and frustrating waiting for Cyan update for Lumia 920. Still not able to understand how roll-out is decided based on various windows phones. Till an year back, Lumia 920 was their flagship phone and in my opinion I feel 920 is not at all in their best phone list.:unhappy:

I believe it would be better if they didn't inform the release date which later they had to postpone the release. It looks like they did not test the update first. I am wondering whether there are Microsoft and Nokia workers in this forum.

Man, there's a LOT of seriously useless ******** and overreacting in this thread. I am just as anxious for this update as anyone else, but you know what I'm not doing? Throwing a hissy fit because I didn't get the update at the internet standard rate of "NOW, NOW, NOW!!1!11ONE1!!!ELEVEN!". The rollout is slow, so many of you have professed the desire to jump ship to phones that are likely inferior, especially after this revision of the OS.

In what world does taking action to such detriment to yourself make sense? Not the phones' quality, hardware issues, crashes, failures, etc. Nope, you aren't having those issues you're being mistreated and MS "Obviously doesn't care about their customers" because of an UPDATE. Ridiculous.

And to those claiming that somehow this slow rollout is going to be the death of WP, don't be dumb. You are part of a vocal minority. The world at large either isn't taking this anywhere near as seriously as you or have no idea the update is even coming.

You want MS to move things along? How about instead of making absurd claims like how MS isn't listening to your feedback, you go to the place where they actually are listening to provide it in the first place. Google, people. "uservoice windows phone".

Geez.

MS haven't stated the release date(s). Which is worse than giving a date and missing it - they look totally incompetent rather than slightly.
