It is not so much about the time taken now, but more the refusal of Nokiasoft to comment anywhere on what is going on. They will not answer direct questions on social media, or respond to forums thereon. It is nigh on impossible to email them.

It has been said before, but for a communications company they are terrible at communicating.

Didn't you read the owners manual? There's several threads regarding this issue... Mikia is working on a fix since 1999

If this is how MS releases updates to their phone I think I'll go back to an iPhone. I accepted they were behind in many of the software features the other phones have had for a very long time when I bought my 1520, but only because I knew an update was on it's way. I just didn't realise how badly distributed that update would be. It doesn't happen with their desktop updates so it really shouldn't happen with their phone.

I agree... the Black updates came a lot quicker - all handsets allowed the update had it after just over a month. I say 'allowed' because the 810 never got it, and it won't get Cyan or future firmwares either.

Build date for the Black firmware on my CV 620 is 11/02/2014 and I didn't get it until around that time in March, and they were the last to get it.

Anyways, back on topic....

Seems Nokia India still haven't had the silencing gag memo, although they have received the script.
