After seeing the "updateadvisor" app from Microsoft going live in the store, it can be assumed that the update is coming real soon.

I downloaded it and I have to say its an impressive app. Now I haven't been able to fully utilise it as the update hasn't become available yet but it is a bit better looking then the generic "phone update" in the settings area.
I have been trying to use the app it crashes
As mentioned already, with a country variant you will usually get updates later than others. You'll almost never be amongst the first. At least that is how it's been so far.I'm talking about country variants which is controlled directly by Microsoft

MS should prefer Asia for update as windows phone user are more here compare to other.
Agreed.
They don't even have Cortana in portuguese after all these years. Microsoft's business decisions makes no sense to me sometimes.
That decision isn't ALL Microsoft. some of it is also Country laws.
That's mostly true. If they're unlocked phones then it's generally up to the manufacturer of the phone.
The only update I see is the "Update" word in our replies. :-/
Yet to see anyone confirm their received the update.
I think all news related to getting official update are fake,as even single person is not confirmed.
