I usually watch MKBHD's videos because of the quality and the work he puts in to make those. Most of them really look astounding. And I love the fact that a man has a bunch of ideas, like the auto-something series (maybe autofocus?), I enjoyed that very much.

As for Michael, it's not him that I don't want to watch, I'm just kind of bored with smartphones these days.
I respect MKBHD's hustle. He's been on YouTube for eons. So has Flossy Carter, who does overviews but knows more than he let's on. At least he's more entertaining and talks about practical daily situations to see how a phone performs.

Like everything else, you kind of grow out of one style of content.

I fell off the Brownlee bandwagon when he called the U Ultra a "waste of space". Didn't need to go that far. He had gone in my doghouse for taking the Oneplus 3T promotion and giving away units when that phone was on backorder for (4-6) weeks. Dude was big enough as is and Oneplus needed him more than he needed them..

I don't mind Fisher, I'm just more interested in tech people who actually push their devices through thorough usage vs tech overviews and first impressions.

This is why choice is good! I remember the waste of space comment, and how it seemed like everyone else rode that train after he said it. I forgot about the 3T situation. Wow.

I remember you said that you're more of one who is interested in deep looks and reviews. It's funny you say that because another tech group I'm in is over MrMobile. I kinda keep forgetting which groups happen to share an opinion lol. I'll likely return to his content but I can't right now.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't. As a non-native speaker I try very hard to follow the rules of grammar in English which call for capitalizing proper nouns. My apologies to the people of your country (Bosnia?).
English ain't no language, man...just a contrarian's wet dream. Any language with the following already tells you to be prepared for a certified cluster****:

Rule: there is an exception to every rule.

I just skim now. It's an odd year for tech thanks to covid-19.

Try French. You want to talk exceptions...

Wow! One of the most civil discussions of religion I've ever seen. We have a Muslim, Christians and an Atheist all taking part in a topic that has historically been the reason for wars and insane loss of life. I tip my hat to all of us.

That being said, I wouldn't make it as a Jew or Muslim. This Cuban loves pork way too much.
Being civil shouldn't be difficult.

Saying that, from my position I know I have to choose words carefully.

Everyone's belief and religion is personal to them which is why it's such a difficult topic and emotions can get in the way rather quickly.

It would be very easy for me to upset people by simply saying things a certain way. So I'm glad it's been smooth.

I respect that.

I'm just saying thay there is a lot more belief at work in different areas...even in science. There are different types of belief, at least to me.

I'm not in the business of marrying the two, defending either...just have to thread the needle a lot, especially since I work at a Jewish hospital.

I'll agree to disagree with you.
I can appreciate your position. My wife finds herself in similar a position but thankfully the majority of her clients never bring the topic up.

As for beliefs. Yes, everyone has beliefs of a different sort. We all struggle with those beliefs especially when we run into things that go against them.

We're all human after all. We're far from perfect. If there is such a thing.

I can appreciate that people find comfort in their beliefs but I guess not being indoctrinated from a young age religion never felt right.

Looking at it from outside it's a very odd thing. That's all I'll say. To say more I'll start to offend and I'd like to stay as neutral as possible.

It's very easy to offend when taking about religion. It's that personal attachment I mentioned along with a history of us (all of humanity) giving it a pass. It's very peculiar.

The world humans love in is often frightening and anxiety producing. That gets even worse when we are more out and about in nature. For lots of people, they lean on something like religion to help make sense of it all in a particular way. There's lots when you get specific about religion that I don't agree, I just know that for lots of people, religion had its place and serves an important purpose in their lives.

There's such chaos in the world right now. I'm not sure if there will ever be a "going back to the way things were".

What will be the new "normal" post COVID-19? No one knows.

As for my line of work, you'd think that there would be more opportunities in and post a crisis like this...in fact, I'll argue the opposite. While there is more need, it'll really be like musical chairs scrambling for slots. I'm grateful that I'm not a new graduate in many ways facing this. Although, there are some good options to punt and do an internship for serious therapy trainings, if there ways to get by in the crashed gig economy.

Just to be clear. I would never, ever force someone to take my view on this. I wouldn't and couldn't be mean to a person going through a crisis either (though I find that some religions see this as an opportunity to convert).

If anyone ever wanted to know my point of view and why I think the way I do I'd be happy to tell them. With the caveat that it's likely I'll offend them during this discussion

I know for a lot of people religion is a crutch a need but for me it's a distraction. It doesn't do anything for me. I'm happy to look at the world and the universe as is and see it in all its beauty and ugliness.

Yes, I'm as scared as the next person. I'm just as lonely in my own mind too. But i feel alive. I feel a part of everything because I am.

That's what keeps me going along with the desire to learn and view things differently. To experience life as life.

Being an atheist isn't easy but I wouldn't change it.

We said the same after 9/11. Can you honestly say things are dramatically different being from Gotham?

I wasn't here when 9/11 happened (was back home in college) so I cannot compare both.

I can compare this to Hurricane Sandy. This is way different and way worse.

Apparently, they go hand in hand according to this guy. They are taught to care about climate, and write about dying to fit the "agenda". I didn't even know this was a thing.

It's surprising how many forms of bad people you can find these days in the world. "Humans are the virus" is probably one of the stupidest things I've heard.
