WC 1M Post Challenge - You Ready?!

So...Laura now owns a Samsung, Mrs. Rue doesn't want a Sony (but a Pureview with those flaws, I meant quirks) and Google launched their gen 4 iAndroid, I mean Pixel 4. And LG is taking about Android 10 updates by the end of the year (most likely to their Korean V50 and G8 models first).

All sorts of craziness is happening I see. Let's see if 99 will try one of these new Google iAndroids, sorry Pixels.

Lol! Yeah, sometimes change can be for the better.

Meanwhile, I'm thumbing through ultra book reviews. What a massive upgrade this will be, going from quad-core Bay Trail processors with 2GB RAM and 64GB SSD to a i5 Whiskey Lake setup with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD.

I'd rather go a 16GB + 512GB setup but I don't feel like paying out of the nose and other orifices I cannot mention for that.

I know there are some upgrades that can be had, but boy, I need to go in a store and type on some stuff first.
I hope that you'll be able to find a good middle ground for what you need at a price that would work for you.

Dinner location in Naples, FL.

I'm not buying a new Pixel device due to following reasons:
1. Battery life is likely to be crappier than the 3a.
2. No unlimited cloud storage for full resolution photos and videos. WTF Google?
3. BOGO deals during the holiday season.

Speaking of, I don't get how even Apple was able to increase battery capacity but Google decided not to.

I'm definitely looking at a 16GB+512GB combo for a replacement device since the Dell XPS 13 is now 4 years old and 128GB storage ain't cutting it.

I loved the Thinkpad Carbon X1. I also like the Surface laptop series and the new Dell XPS ain't bad either.

Yeah I told her about them. It will be interesting to see how things go.

I ordered it this morning so in about ~10 days or less.

It's unfortunate that the dual SIM version doesn't have the SD card reader... oh well.

I have to say I think Google really messed up this time but I'm noticing that a few review sites are stating it's the best Android phone already...

Lack of fingerprint scanner is a big one too.

I'm not due for an upgrade for another few years. My wife should get an upgrade but she won't for whatever reason.

Don't need anything too fancy either.
